Joyner Lucas keeps it 100 on having to cancel a few shows

Lucas relied on the power of Instagram to keep things 100. Stepping up onto the digital powerhouse, Joyner acknowledged the amount of wear and tear his touring has had on his overall well-being.

‘Sorry I’ve had to cancel my last 2 shows off this tour, Seattle and New York. Everyone will be refunded. I been pushing my voice for the last 4 shows and fighting thru losing my voice. The last few shows my doctor gave me steroid shots in my throat so i can perform. Today my voice is completely gone. I am in no condition to finish the last 2 shows which sucks because they are both sold out. i have to put my health first, but I promise i will be back and will make it up to you. Thank you to all the fans who came to all the shows - this was a TOUR to remember.’

New York rapper Bobby Shmurda is making sure people understand the independent hustle is legit. The hip-hop heavyweight has sparked the attention of Boston rap lyricist Joyner Lucas after highlighting the benefits of going indie and being nice-nice without major label support.

Joyner Lucas feels Bobby Shmurda’s co-signs

JL hit up his Instagram page to share footage of Shmurda showing him major love. Specifically, the footage features Bobby explaining his issue with people not paying more attention to the success Lucas is achieving on his solo hustle.

“I been telling Google to put some respek on my net worth for years.. Lol they still got me at 3 million. 😭 @itsbobbyshmurda thank u for this 🙏🏽”

And what exactly did Bobby say? How about the fact Joyner is banking around $250,000 on a monthly basis from music alone?

“One thing that I hate about the industry is they don’t talk about Joyner Lucas. You know who that is? He’s dope. Why they don’t talk about him? He can sit in his house and actually making a quarter of a million a month off his, for shit he’s putting out there that y’all are supporting. That’s why I’m like I’m supporting you, I’m not buying someone else’s shit in Beverly Hills. ‘I ain’t buying your shit, you don’t own any of your shit but you out here lying and everything but they’re going to put you everywhere - they’re going to put you on the Rolling Loud.’”

Bruno Mars' heading to Fenway but not to play with the Red Sox

Pop superstar Bruno Mars is heading to Boston but not for a cream pie or to get Red Sox autographs. Instead, the award-winning crooner is slated to open the new MGM Music Hall at the legendary Fenway Park stadium.

Pop superstar Bruno Mars is heading to Boston but not for a cream pie or to get Red Sox autographs. Instead, the award-winning crooner is slated to open the new MGM Music Hall at the legendary Fenway Park stadium.

Bruno Mars’ heading to Fenway Park

The hitmaker is slated to invade Massachusetts’ most-known spot for a set of huge performances. Barring any changes, fans can mark the start of September as key opportunities to see Mars in-person.

Fourteen-time GRAMMY Award winner and thirty-time GRAMMY Award nominee Bruno Mars will officially open the beautiful, new 5,000-seat MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston, MA, with a three-night engagement on Wednesday, September 7, Friday, September 9, and Sunday, September 11.

The celebrated singer, songwriter, producer, and musician has sold over 200 million singles worldwide, making him one of the best-selling artists. The two-time Super Bowl halftime performer, has had more number 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 than any other male artist this decade.

Tickets will go on sale on Friday, May 6th at 10 a.m. at Ticketmaster.com.

Located at the intersection of Lansdowne and Ipswich Streets, adjacent to the legendary home of the Boston Red Sox, the MGM Music Hall at Fenway is the new, state-of-the-art, multi-purpose performing arts center, occupying roughly 91,500 square feet on four levels.

The Bruno Mars stats don’t lie

In case you’re still getting put up on just why Bruno is a living music heavyweight, look no further than what he’s done in recent months and notably alongside fellow singer/hip-hop artist Anderson .Paak.

Mars recently swept the 64th Annual GRAMMY Awards, taking home four awards including  Record Of The Year ("Leave The Door Open"), Song Of The Year ("Leave The Door Open"), Best R&B Performance ("Leave The Door Open"), and Best R&B Song ("Leave The Door Open"). This comes after “Leave The Door Open” becomes Bruno’s 17th song to reach Multi-Platinum status.

Alongside Anderson Paak. as Silk Sonic, Mars’ 64th Annual GRAMMY win for Record of the Year, makes him only the second artist in Grammy history to win the category three times, following Simon and Garfunkel.

Bruno’s critically acclaimed “Leave The Door Open” climbed its’ way from No. 3 to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it his eighth No. 1. He became one of the 18 artists in Hot 100 history to ever do so. 24K Magic marked his highest first week sales debut, remaining in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 for an impressive 44 consecutive weeks. The lead hit single “24K Magic” is certified four times Platinum by the RIAA and the follow-up smash, “That’s What I Like” is certified six-times platinum. “That’s What I Like” also climbed to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking Mars’ seventh Hot 100 chart-topper and his first No. 1 on the Hot R&B Songs chart, where it remained at the top-spot for 19 consecutive weeks. His smash collab with Cardi B, “Finesse,” skyrocketed to #3 on the Billboard Hot 100. The track surged up the chart from its #35 debut, and followed Michael Jackson’s “Black or White” as the second #35 to #3 jump in the Hot 100’s history. The remix also marked Mars’ fifteenth Hot 100 top 10 and fourteenth Hot 100 top 5.

Additionally, Mars became the first male and third act overall to have at least three top 5 Hot 100 hits from each of his first three albums, following only Mariah Carey and Beyoncé. Bruno is also the first artist to have two songs spend 24 or more weeks in the Hot 100's Top 5 (“That's What I Like” and “Uptown Funk”). Making him the only artist to have both a four-time and six-time platinum single from the same album. Honorably, Mars is one of the few artists to have written and produced all of his No. 1 hits and has had a No. 1 song on the Hot 100 from each of his first three studio albums.

With seven Hot 100 No. 1’s, Mars was ranked No. 1 among male artists with the most Hot 100 No. 1s for this decade, extending his lead over Justin Bieber, Drake, Eminem, and The Weeknd. Mars traveled the globe from 2017-2018 on a massive 24K Magic World Tour, which sold more than 1 million tickets in a single day. In 2015, Bruno dominated music charts with the hit single “Uptown Funk,” which took home three GRAMMY Awards, including Record of the Year.
