AZ and Fat Joe link up for the ‘How We Get It’ anthem
With a full-fledged Truth Be Told studio album slated to arrive next Friday, AZ sets the mood right-right courtesy of the new New York-fueled joint effort.
Over the course of his distinguished and influential career, AZ has been nominated for Grammy’s, and won one for his contribution “Full Circle,” to The Firm reuniting track from Nas’ Kings Disease, which won the Grammy for Best Rap Album of 2020, sold millions of albums, created hit singles and lent his velvety voice, and street poetry to some of Hip-Hop’s most timeless music.
It had been a decade since AZ graced fans with an album, but his long-teased sequel, Doe Or Die II, became one of 2021’s undeniable success stories. Featuring appearances and production from Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, 2 Chainz, T-Pain, The Alchemist, Conway The Machine, Dave East, Pete Rock, Statik Selektah, Idris Elba, Bink, Buckwild, Kaygee, Heatmakerz, Rockwilder, and Baby Paul, Doe Or Die II was a mainstay at the top of the DSP charts upon its release.

After contributing production on both Doe Or Die and Doe Or Die II, AZ recruited a familiar name to produce all of Truth Be Told, as the legendary, and Grammy-nominated producer Buckwild handles all of the production. Aside from cooking up classics with AZ, Buckwild has also produced classics for The Notorious B.I.G. “I Gotta Story To Tell”, Black Rob “Whoa,” OC “Times Up,” and Organized Konfusion’s “Stress,” and has produced for artists such as Jay-Z, Nas, 50 Cent, Diddy, Mase, Fat Joe, Big Pun, Big L, Jadakiss, The Game, Method Man & Redman, Terror Squad, Beanie Sigel, Faith Evans, Kool G Rap, Cormega, Capone-N-Noreaga, Raekwon and Little Brother.

Fat Joe and Jim Jones help ignite the ‘Torch List’ competition
Joey Crack and Jimmy are helping push the culture forward by linking up with Chick-A-Boom for music newcomers to get a chance to showcase themselves and their talent.
With a number of figures in today's time calling for crossover between markets in the hip-hop, entertainment, food and beverage industry, the successful powerhouse Chick-A-Boom is paving their way in the music space making a big introduction with their latest venture “The Torch List.” This brand new performance competition will allow aspiring recording artists to enter the competition starting today by uploading their best track to the website for a chance to win and be flown out for an opening performance slot for Fat Joe and Jim Jones at the SLS Hotel in South Beach, Miami on Memorial Day weekend.
"We are reverse engineering the way contests and live performances are done," said Chick-A-Boom Founder and CEO Brittany Tolliferreo. "We are proud to be industry changers and give the public a shot at being a star."
Chick-A-Boom, the fast-casual restaurant concept with an entertainment spin, will receive submissions now through May 23 where the winner will be announced. The winner of the contest will have the chance to perform on stage with hip-hop legends Fat Joe and Jim Jones, as well as be seen by music executives and a live audience of 900 people. The contest works similarly to American Idol. Artists pay a small entry fee and the public chooses the best song. The winner will be flown from their home city to Miami to perform at the SLS/Hyde Beach, one of the hottest clubs in Miami on Memorial Day weekend. Chick-A-Boom is also giving away a trip for two to one lucky customer to sit in the VIP area and be their very special guest for the entire event.
This contest is like no other - it gives the public a chance to be a star and be seen by music executives, and is not manipulated by robots but rather the people's choice.
Chick-A-Boom Presents, who also has an A&R division, will be on-site cooking up their world-famous fried chicken, sliders, waffles, and Chick Boom juice providing a true franchise experience.

Fat Joe and Diddy are headed to STARZ
Details are still coming together but it looks like Joey Crack and Puff Daddy’s new project will center on interviewing fellow celebrities and digging deep into their lives.
STARZ announced today it will be producing a pilot for an untitled genre-busting series that blends interviews with celebrities and high-profile guests with an elevated documentary style format. Grammy-nominated recording artist, entrepreneur and philanthropist Fat Joe will serve as host and executive producer with Sean “Diddy” Combsattached to executive produce with his production company REVOLT Studios. SpringHill's multi-Emmy award winning studio division, founded by LeBron James and Maverick Carter, will produce the pilot as well.
“We’re about to create the biggest and most culturally-relevant series on television,” Fat Joe said. “With Puff, LeBron, the incredible team at STARZ and myself teaming up, you have a dream team that is guaranteed to produce TV gold. Hosting a show has always been a dream of mine and I’m thankful for everyone who helped make it a reality. I promise you that we’re going to push the envelope, deliver compelling interviews and provide pure entertainment. Do remember - you don’t know who I know!”
“I’m excited to partner with STARZ and bring these cultural giants together to create the No. 1 show on television,” said Sean “Diddy” Combs. “Fat Joe is a very authentic and respected voice in the culture that deserves a platform to bring these important conversations to a global audience on a major network.”
“Time and time again, Fat Joe has delivered outstanding, insightful interviews with legendary personalities who define the zeitgeist, and we are thrilled to welcome him to the STARZ family,” said Kathryn Busby, President, Original Programming, STARZ. “Fat Joe, Sean Combs and LeBron James are inspirational icons, and we can’t wait to get started on this incredible journey.”
The series marks the culmination of the Bronx’s native’s evolution into becoming a media personality. In March 2020, Joe launched “The Fat Joe Show,” a nightly Instagram Live talk-show where he interviewed politicians, musicians, athletes, actors, entrepreneurs and influential personalities such as Dr. Anthony Fauci, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Floyd Mayweather, Dwyane Wade, Jamie Foxx and Alicia Keys, among several others and the platform quickly blossomed into a news-breaking engine.
Over the years, Joe expanded his hosting repertoire, serving as a guest host for “The Wendy Williams Show” on multiple occasions and hosting the official recap for Triller’s renowned VERZUZ platform over the past year.
The pilot will be produced by SpringHill for STARZ with LeBron James, Maverick Carter, Jamal Henderson and Philip Byron serving as executive producers. Senior Vice President, Head of Unscripted Programming, Alice Dickens-Koblin will oversee the project on behalf of STARZ.
