Grand Theft Auto 6 is coming correct with its first-ever female lead

Insert: Finally. Whether you like to go guns blazing or just spend hours storming those virtual streets in the Grand Theft Auto worlds, the fact is there’s never been a female lead in the Rockstar Games’ biggest franchise. It all changes now.

Grand Theft Auto 6 will have a female lead… option

The hype might really be real for Grand Theft Auto 6. While we await more and more details, the latest buzz is the game will come with the option of going with a male or female lead in true Bonnie and Clyde style. Bloomberg is all on it with the tidbits.

The company removed transphobic jokes from the most recent console release of Grand Theft Auto V and significantly narrowed its gender pay gap. Rockstar’s next game, Grand Theft Auto VI, will include a playable female protagonist for the first time, according to people familiar with the game. The woman, who is Latina, will be one of a pair of leading characters in a story influenced by the bank robbers Bonnie and Clyde, the people said. Developers are also being cautious not to “punch down” by making jokes about marginalized groups, the people said, in contrast to previous games.

While we wait out more official details, let’s geek out over a fan-made trailer.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is coming with some Rockstar sacrifices

How much do you need to play Grand Theft Auto VI sooner than later? Turns out Rockstar is putting its full focus on working toward getting the must-own title of the decade into everyone’s hands with a reasonable timetable even if it means shelving plans to work on more remastered games like Red Dead Redemption.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is coming with sacrifices

According to new reports, it’s all about the need to put attention onto a key project like GTA VI instead of rumored plans to work on games like Red Dead Redemption and Grand Theft Auto IV getting remastered.

According to industry insider Tez2 and corroborated by Kotaku, remastered releases of Red Dead Redemption and GTA 4 were “on the table a few years ago”, but both projects have been put on hold due to issues surrounding GTA: The Trilogy, a compilation of remasters that launched in 2021.

Kotaku has claimed that sources with knowledge of Rockstar’s future projects say that the company will now focus its resources on the production of Grand Theft Auto 6. However, the remasters aren’t completely “out of scope”, and sources say Rockstar could still launch them after GTA 6. (NME)

It’s real. It’s real. It’s ridiculously real and amazing. It’s real. It’s real. It’s ridiculously real and amazing. First off - huge salute to the powers at Rockstar Games on coming through with the must-play game of 2021 - it’s deeper than Call of Duty: Vanguard and Battlefield 2042 - from the nostalgic vibes to getting enhanced everything with Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition.

It’s a masterpiece - well, it’s three masterpieces masterfully put together in one epic rollout. This is the equivalent of an old head putting you up on JAY-Z’s remastered Reasonable Doubt or even when the “Victory” remastered version dropped in 2004 during my short-lived days of working at BestBuy in high school.

Once again, this is most likely a feature which deserves to be placed in the ATC Previews, Reviews + More but since myself and Big T (mystery man) run this show, I am flexing a little executive muscle and highlighting the biggest news of the day - and a salute to the Veterans around the nation - and digging deep into what you need to know. This is jam-packed with facts - and we do mean BIG FACTS - so for all the GTA heads out there, enjoy the tidbits and make sure to grab your copy right now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and especially the Nintendo Switch.

Grand Theft Auto III

It all starts in Liberty City. With the revolutionary freedom to go anywhere and jack anyone, Grand Theft Auto III puts the center of the criminal underworld at your fingertips – if you have enough guts to take it.

Originally released on October 22nd, 2001, Grand Theft Auto III first

pioneered Rockstar Games’ approach to building highly immersive and detailed, fully 3D open worlds, delivering unprecedented freedom and nonlinear gameplay combined with rich, cinematic storytelling.

Within the living, breathing world of Liberty City, Grand Theft Auto III also elevated the series’ now signature radio stations, each with a thoughtfully curated playlist and DJ host to match.

The highest-rated PlayStation 2 game of all time, Grand Theft Auto III was also the number one selling video game on consoles the year of its release – ushering in a new era of gaming and gaming fans, catapulting the series into the center of culture in the process.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City

Welcome to the 1980s. From the decade of big hair and pastel suits comes the story of one man's rise to the top of the criminal pile. Grand Theft Auto returns with Tommy Vercetti’s tale of betrayal and revenge in a neon-soaked tropical town full of excess and brimming with possibilities.

Delivering heightened levels of immersion, detail and

humor in its satirical take on '80s America, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City debuted a fully-voiced protagonist in Tommy Vercetti, the ability to build your criminal empire through property and business

ownership across the sprawl of the city, and one of the most iconic fully-licensed soundtracks in the history of games, and was the highest-selling game of its original release year of 2002.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

Five years ago, Carl ‘CJ’ Johnson escaped the haze of Los Santos, San Andreas...a city tearing itself apart with gang trouble, drugs, and corruption. Now, it's the early 90s. CJ’s got to go home - his mother has been murdered, his family has fallen apart, and his childhood friends are all heading towards disaster. On his return to the neighborhood, a couple of cops frame him for homicide, forcing

CJ on a journey that takes him across the entire state of San Andreas, to save his family and to take control of the streets in the next iteration of the series that changed everything.

The Music

The best-selling PlayStation 2 game of all time, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas was the first in the Trilogy

to feature three distinct, wholly featured cities, each with a lush, natural environment separating their borders. In addition to the now standard behind-the-wheel shooting of the series, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas introduced in-depth character progression, making it possible for players to impact CJ’s look and abilities by partaking in certain activities and missions, lending new meaning to their character.

From the classical motifs of GTAIII’s Double Clef FM and the heavy-hitting drum and bass of MSX; to the melodrama of Vice City’s Emotion 98.3 and quintessential 80s pop powerhouse, Wave 103; to the West Coast rap of Radio Los Santos or Chicago house of SF-UR and debut of hosts such as Chuck D, Axl Rose and George Clinton in San Andreas, the radio stations of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition deliver the thoughtfully curated and wide-ranging selection of hits and hidden gems.

With more than 200 songs across 29 pioneering radio stations the series has become known for, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition’s iconic listings match the most recent release of the original versions (from 2014) – with no new changes, all detailed below.

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition gameplay leaks + looks epic

We’re now just a few hours away from Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition dropping on next generation consoles around the world so it’s only right a massive leak would hit the Internet. We’re now just a few hours away from Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition dropping on next generation consoles around the world so it’s only right a massive leak would hit the Internet. Fortunately, this big reveal is so epic it should only increase the need for folks to grab the must-own throwback titles remastered for 2021 and beyond.

GTA: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition leaks and looks amazing

A day before the game’s official release, the footage has emerged online for all three titles - GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas. From YouTube to Reddit, the clips have ignited social media with jaw-dropping amazing moments.

Gameplay footage from Rockstar’s upcoming remaster of its PS2-era Grand Theft Auto trilogy has appeared online, after gameplay footage was apparently uploaded from early copies. VGC has collected together three YouTube uploads and one Reddit post, which between them show over an hour of footage of Grand Theft Auto IIIGrand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Although Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy — The Definitive Edition is just one day away from release, Rockstar hasn’t shared any substantial gameplay footage from the remastered games. A trailer released last month focused almost exclusively on cutscenes from the three games rather than the gameplay enhancements Rockstar is promising for the almost two-decade-old trilogy. (The Verge)

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy: The Definitive Edition Release Date

Barring any last-minute changes or delays, fans will finally be able to relive out some epic GTA moments all over again and with insanely enhanced gameplay in less than 24 hours.

Three iconic cities, three epic stories, one definitive collection. Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition includes the genre-defining Grand Theft Auto IIIGrand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas together — each one enhanced for a new generation and available together for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via the Rockstar Games Launcher. Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition will be available digitally on November 11 through the PlayStation Store, the Microsoft Store on Xbox, Nintendo eShop, and the Rockstar Games Launcher, with a physical release for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4 on December 7.

Rockstar Games executive Aaron Garbut - Head of Development, Co-Studio Head Rockstar North - has issued a statement on GTA III and its overall impact on the company’s evolution.

"GTAIII helped clarify our approach to making games, and it’s something that has stuck with us in every game we make, from GT AIII through to GTAV, the Red Dead Redemption series and everything else: we are focused on building worlds – and on making these worlds as believable, detailed, interesting, varied and alive as possible. We want to make worlds that you feel like you are living in, that feel d ynamic and filled with other characters. Where it’s not just a façade that comes alive around you and for you, but as real a place as we can ma nage, and one that is filled with stories, characters, events and fun, interesting things to do."

GTA V-Inspired Controls

The worst part about gaming on the recently remastered versions of GTA titles all boiled down to the gaming controls. Once you’ve become attached to the GTA Online experience, it’s hard to really go back even for the nostalgic factor. Fortunately, Rockstar Games is making this an official non-issue with the new rollout.
