The new ‘Grand Theft Auto’ trailer is coming soon
While details are being kept to a minimum, Rockstar Games founder Sam Houser has sparked a flurry of excitement by promising to coming through on a trailer presumably for Grand Theft Auto 6 in the coming weeks just as the powerhouse celebrates 25 years of excellence.
Next month marks the 25th anniversary of Rockstar Games.
Thanks to the incredible support of our players worldwide, we have had the opportunity to create games we are truly passionate about — without you, none of this would be possible, and we are so grateful to all of you for sharing this journey with us.
In 1998, Rockstar Games was founded on the idea that video games could come to be as essential to culture as any other form of entertainment, and we hope that we have created games you love in our efforts to be part of that evolution.
We are very excited to let you know that in early December, we will release the first trailer for the next Grand Theft Auto. We look forward to many more years of sharing these experiences with all of you.
Thank you,
Sam Houser

Grand Theft Auto 6 is coming with some Rockstar sacrifices
How much do you need to play Grand Theft Auto VI sooner than later? Turns out Rockstar is putting its full focus on working toward getting the must-own title of the decade into everyone’s hands with a reasonable timetable even if it means shelving plans to work on more remastered games like Red Dead Redemption.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is coming with sacrifices
According to new reports, it’s all about the need to put attention onto a key project like GTA VI instead of rumored plans to work on games like Red Dead Redemption and Grand Theft Auto IV getting remastered.
According to industry insider Tez2 and corroborated by Kotaku, remastered releases of Red Dead Redemption and GTA 4 were “on the table a few years ago”, but both projects have been put on hold due to issues surrounding GTA: The Trilogy, a compilation of remasters that launched in 2021.
Kotaku has claimed that sources with knowledge of Rockstar’s future projects say that the company will now focus its resources on the production of Grand Theft Auto 6. However, the remasters aren’t completely “out of scope”, and sources say Rockstar could still launch them after GTA 6. (NME)

Grand Theft Auto Plus
Just when you try to exhale after doing the number crunching there, Grand Theft Auto has its new Plus model giving gamers the chance to get a bunch of perks at the cost of $5.99/monthly.
GTA+ is a new membership program exclusively for GTA Online on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S — launching on March 29 and providing easy access to a range of valuable benefits for both new and long-standing players on the latest generation consoles.
Being a GTA+ Member gets you a recurring monthly GTA$500,000 direct deposit to your Maze Bank account, plus the opportunity to claim properties in and around Los Santos that unlock gameplay updates you may have missed out on, special vehicle upgrades, Member-only discounts, GTA$ and RP bonuses, and more each month.
Need a breakdown on the perks?
At first? Of course I huffed and puffed. Quite frankly, I hardly clock in ample GTA Online work but when you figure you spend more on coffee at Starbucks than the ‘monthly’ rate of what Rockstar Games is requiring, it really sounds like a solid power move. Check out the breakdown of perks.
Here’s a breakdown of the benefits GTA+ Members will receive in the first month of Membership (March 29–April 27):
GTA$500,000 delivered automatically to your Maze Bank Account.
The Principe Deveste Eight — along with a complimentary Hao’s Special Works upgrade for it before it is made available to purchase by the general public — plus the HSW Orange Trip and HSW CMYK Glitch Liveries.
The Auto Shop located in La Mesa, introduces an assortment of gameplay updates from Los Santos Tuners. Current Auto Shop owners can relocate to La Mesa at no additional cost.
Waived LS Car Meet Membership fees. Current LS Car Meet members with GTA+ will be reimbursed GTA$50,000 during this event period.
Yacht owners can upgrade to the Aquarius Super Yacht at no additional cost.
The Gussét Frog Tee and Broker Prolaps Basketball Top and Shortsautomatically added to your wardrobe.
The Conveyor Livery for the Mammoth Avenger, HVY APC, and TM-02 Khanjali.
A selection of free paints and emblems for the Auto Shop.
3X GTA$ and RP on Hao’s Special Works Race Series.
2X Car Meet Rep on the Street Race Series.

Dr. Dre’s coming back to GTA Online
The latest buzz going down with the GTA Online franchise? How about not only having the Doc in the game but getting the legend himself - Franklin, from GTA V - plus beats by Dre? Not the headphones, actual beats by the hitmaker?
Rockstar Games is releasing new story content for GTA Online featuring Franklin Clinton, one of the key characters from Grand Theft Auto V. In lieu of releasing standalone single-player expansions, the company is weaving new story-focused missions into its massive online mode on December 15th. Despite what sounds like a more low-key approach, Rockstar seems to be going big with this one, including Dr. Dre’s likeness, as well as new, unreleased music from the legendary rapper. (The Verge)
There are even details about what folks should expect once the latest online chapter kicks off next week.
The story apparently picks up in the years following the events that transpire in Grand Theft Auto V, and Rockstar got Franklin’s voice actor, Shawn Fonteno, to reprise the role. Aside from new missions, the content drop will include lots of new music. There will be a new radio station, as well as “huge first-of-their-kind updates to existing radio stations including a ton of new and unreleased exclusive tracks from Dr. Dre and a heavy-hitting line-up of artists,” says Rockstar. There will also be new side missions, weapons, and vehicles. (The Verge)
