Hit-Boy salutes his late grandma with the most love and respect

HB relied on the power of Instagram to let loose just how much his Grandma Clatis meant to him. From detailing his youth to his growth as a musician all stemming from their close-knit bond, there’s no holding back for Hit.

‘t’s been tough to enjoy life lately I love you grandma clatis . as i sit and think back about my early years and the time we spent together i came to the conclusion that you were a big part of why i make music. you had that casio keyboard and would always let me play it when i came to your house, you showed me how to navigate thru the sounds and im just now realizing how important that was for my development as a music maker. when i first decided i wanted to get a set up to produce my own beats you gave me a desktop computer and a screen to go with it. that was huge for me and allowed me to lock in and begin my journey which ultimately led me to me being where i am today. Nat King cole “unforgettable” was your favorite song when i was a kid and you would play it over and over and sing it to me i’ll never forget that and i’ll never forget you. The biggest gift of all was you taking me to
them visits all over the country to make sure i stayed connected with my dad no matter where he was in prison we was taking a plane ,trane or car ride to see him. i love you for that and that’s why we’re taking advantage of every single moment for the sake of our whole family. no more pain no more suffering. i’ll see you on the other side. 💔’

Why wait until the end of the week to drop a new, surprise album? Turns out mega producer Hit-Boy linked up with veteran rapper Game for an unexpected and now must-hear project called Paisley Dreams.

Hit-Boy and Game’s new ‘Paisley Dreams’ album has arrived

It’s nearly 10 songs and the backstory? Super wild. A quick studio session flipped into an all-out album-making interaction? Way too priceless.

The Game pulled up on me and Big Hit 4 days ago and i was thinking maybe we ask him to get on the “Bang Freestyle” remix or something at MOST but instead he locked in with us for the rest of the night and we made a 9 song album. Here it is “Paisley Dreams” by The Game and Big Hit executive produced by Hit-Boy’

Things didn’t end there. Along with Game sharing his thoughts on the project seemingly coming out of nowhere, the LP received ample co-signs from artists like Conway The Machine and G-Herbo in the comments section.

I truly don’t understand how we did this !!!! 🔥🔥🔥’ -Game

‘Big hit on fire I love it!!! 🤲🏾’ -Conway The Machine

‘This tooo hard 🔥’ -G Herbo

‘lolol y’all on a run fooli 💨’ -Jeremih

‘One day @hitboy gonna make @andre3000 rap again. Ha!’ -Elliott Wilson

Want to hear what the project is all about? Kick back and get into a West Coast state of mind.
