Roots Picnic & Live Nation have massive sets going down

While you’ll have to wait until June for the festivities to go down, the line-up of hip-hop icons like Nas and Lil Wayne are reason enough to geek out leading up to the big two-day event.

Delivering a musical and cultural experience without comparison, GRAMMY® Award-winning multi-platinum hip-hop luminaries The Roots and Live Nation Urban proudly present the 2024 installment of “Roots Picnic.The two-day festival returns to its longtime home of The Mann in Fairmount Park in Philadelphia, PA on Saturday and Sunday, June 1-2, 2024. Building anticipation, the Roots Picnic alumni presale goes live on Tuesday, February 20th at 10 AM ET, while general on-sale begins Friday, February 23rd at 10 AM ET. While you’ll have to wait until March before seeing the rap heavyweight taking over a city near you, tickets are officially up for grabs later this week.

Renowned for unforgettable, high-energy knockout performances, 12-time GRAMMY® Award nominee and one of the most influential rappers of all time Busta Rhymes will launch a massive North American headline tour in 2024! Produced by The Conglomerate Entertainment and Live Nation, this will be the first headlining run in support of his acclaimed new full-length offering, BLOCKBUSTA, out now. This jaunt kicks off on March 13 at The Masonic in San Francisco, CA, rolls through major markets coast-to-coast for five weeks, and concludes on April 21 with a homecoming at Brooklyn Paramount in Brooklyn, NY. Hip Hop 50 Live has the biggest names in the game lined up

Whether you’re more of an East Coast or Southern rap music fan or just appreciate what the women bring to the culture, the star-studded event has all corners of the culture covered.

On Hip Hop’s 50th birthday, Friday, August 11, in Hip Hop’s birthplace, The Bronx, the genre’s biggest names will come together for a legendary, celebratory concert - Hip Hop 50 Live at Yankee Stadium. The can’t-miss milestone event will feature Run DMC’s‘Bottom of the Ninth…The Walk-Off’ performance, Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube and more talent to be announced. A “Queens of Hip Hop” set will feature Eve, Lil Kim, Remy Ma, Trina and more. Additional performers include: T.I., Fat Joe, Common, A$AP Ferg, EPMD, Ghostface Killah, Lupe Fiasco and Slick Rick.  A “Pillars of Hip-Hop” set will feature Kool Herc & Cindy Campbell, Grandmaster Caz, Kurtis Blow, Melle Mel, Roxanne Shante, Scorpio and the Sugar Hill Gang, and a “Legendary DJ” set will have Clark Kent, Marley Marl,  Mannie Fresh and Battlecat. 

Tickets will become available beginning with presales on Thursday, June 8 at 10 a.m. EST until 10 p.m. EST before the general on sale on Friday, June 9 at 10 a.m. EST HERE. Hip Hop 50 Live at Yankee Stadium tickets will start as low as $50. EMMY Award-winner and BASSic Black Entertainment CEO Adam Blackstone, who was the musical director for the dynamic, star-studded halftime show at Super Bowl LVI, where he also performed bass guitar on stage with Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and Eminem, is serving as managing creative MUSIC director, along with partner, producer/keyboardist Omar Edwards (Musical Director for JAY-Z).

The hip-hop veteran kicked off his first tour in four years for a packed, sold-out Minneapolis crowd this week and needless to say - the best rapper alive delivered in Weezy F. Baby fashion.

Lil Wayne’s epic tour runs are back again

With multiple music festivals on deck, Wayne is going all-out for his true day ones with his Welcome to Tha Carter cross-country trek. The Louisiana native performed all types of Cash Money and Young Money classics.

Last night, 5x GRAMMY® Award-winning, multi-platinum rap icon Lil Wayne kicked off his sold-out Welcome to Tha Carter Tour Presented by Young Money, Rolling Loud, and Live Nation at The Fillmore in Minneapolis. The legendary rapper played major hits like “A Milli”, “Fireman”, and “I’m Me” in addition to newer songs like “God Did.” 

Up next, Lil Wayne will bring the Welcome to Tha Carter Tour to Baxter Arena in Omaha on Friday, April 7 and will continue making stops in Chicago, Philadelphia, Houston, and more, before concluding at The Wiltern in Los Angeles on Saturday, May 13. The music mogul is also set to perform at Pharell’s Something in the Water Festival April 28-30.
