Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is free to play for 5 days starting tomorrow
Never the type to suggest having a ‘sick day’ but if you need a reason to stay in for the next few days, how about the fact the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II community is going to be fully loaded starting tomorrow with a five-day free access launch? Holy. Digital. Smokes.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is free-free for the next 5 days
While the campaign is great, everyone knows the bread and butter of COD gaming is always with the multi-player action. So knowing you’re going to have a mixture of hardcore gamers and victims - er - newbies, playing? The fun can’t happen soon enough.
Battle amongst the wintry peaks surrounding the Himmelmatt Expo; skirmish through the cargo ship containers on the compact, fan-favorite Shipment; and join Captain Price, Farah, and Gaz as they embark to Atomgrad in Special Ops Raid Episode 01.
Following the launch of Season 02 Reloaded, the Free Access period will feature a limited selection of Multiplayer and Special Ops experiences for non-game owners to get into Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® II.
From March 16 through 20, Free Access players can battle across six Multiplayer maps and a variety of game modes alongside the first Co-Op Raid. Invite your friends and family to compete, whether they’ve been your squadmates in Call of Duty®: Warzone™ 2.0 or they’re jumping into the fray for the first time.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 beta is live for everyone and of course we have Xbox codes to win
In all honesty? Call of Duty runs the first-person shooting franchise. It’s no disrespect to Battlefield or the other opps in the eyes of Activision but no one is really giving the organization any type of real pressure. It’s almost like NBA 2K losing sleep over Mario Hoops 3-on-3. Nah. Not at all. So with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 beta officially live now with the exclusive PlayStation-only first week in the books.

It’s almost like NBA 2K losing sleep over Mario Hoops 3-on-3. Nah. Not at all. So with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 beta officially live now with the exclusive PlayStation-only first week in the books, it’s time for everyone to have fun.
Initially I wanted to go all-out and make this a post about gaming goals and why this is going to be a game-changing Call of Duty release but why not simplify things up a bit? I mean, for this to be sky-rocketed to the top of Attack The Culture, literally atop the News section, we might as well give this a bit of a hip-hop feel, right?
And yes - there are Xbox codes to give away for you gamers needing your fix for free-99. But before getting into how to secure those (I know, auto-scroll to the bottom - I see you) - let’s make this a little more fun - how fun? How about a Top 5 must-listen to songs while gearing up to go all-out in Modern Warfare 2 beta mode? Peep the Top 5 and slide into our DMs with your go-to song - no matter the genre - to getting you pumped for playing Call of Duty games.
1. Future and Drake’s ‘Where Ya At’
You already know - it’s vintage and throwback but still hits hard in 2022. When you first get your load out and the opps are hating on you, even talking trash as you get all your kill streaks bodied. But how about getting better with each match? Who gets the last laugh? Where they at now? On the losing side, that’s where.
2. Tay-K, 21 Savage and Young Nudy’s ‘The Race’
How about the beat alone? It’s raw and unapologetic. If this doesn’t pump you up in-between those rounds, what will? No mercy on the opps.
3. Bhad Bhabie and Lil Yachty’s ‘Gucci Flip Flops’
Laugh if you want but there’s nothing kiddie about what Danielle Bregoli and Lil Boat are saying in these raps. Slow burns and easy kills when this plays before I load up those rounds.
4. Drake, Future and Young Thug’s ‘D4L’
How can you have a Top 5 list and no Thugger involved? Young Thug has ample hits on his lonesome but in an effort to help you reach those kill streaks with a smile too? Look no further than this banger. Never a sleeper and an easy creeper when you’re sliding up on the opp for the quick kill.
5. Meek Mill and Rick Ross’ ‘Ima Boss’
If you don’t feel the heat on this one, then you’re just not gaming right-right. Go load up Mario Kart. If you’re down to lose sleep to get your XP up like a bawwwwwse, then you already know this is an immediate go-to to get you in the zone.
Xbox Modern Warfare 2 beta giveaway time!
Okay - so this is tough because we’re limited on giveaways - so we’re going to make this as easy as possible so you don’t exert too much effort just to get left on read. Follow the official Attack The Culture Instagram (@attacktheculture) and slide into our DM with your number one pre-game go-to artist/song and BOOM - you’re entered!
If you’ve won, we’ll slide back into your own DM no later than Friday, September 23 at 12 PM ET because we want you gaming ASAP. G’luck!
The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II reveal has finally happened
The wait is over and oh my goodness if the anticipation for Modern Warfare II wasn’t insane enough, just wait until you see this official worldwide reveal. Just to keep it 100 - people in Australia had to stay up - or at least set their alarm - for 3 AM just to get the look at this amazingness.

The Modern Warfare II worldwide reveal was worth the wait
For starters, as you might expect, a campaign is officially confirmed and the nearly 3-year streak since seeing Price and the boys hit the ground will finally end - thankfully.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will kick off a new era for the franchise when it releases worldwide on Friday, October 28. Players will experience what made Task Force 141 become the iconic and legendary squad that it is, featuring familiar heroes and new allies who will be challenged to work together in missions across Europe, Asia and the Americas. The Campaign is set to be an incredible experience, featuring offshore sieges with underwater combat, all-out explosive assaults from 30,000 feet above enemy strongholds, and high-stakes, low-profile stealth missions. Players can also join up with their duo for evolved Special Ops, a tactical co-op mode that will advance team-building skills, and also sets the scene for the near-endless hours of gameplay available in the world-class Multiplayer.
Of course Multiplayer is going down in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
As if there was any chance COD would not put a multiplayer mode into the game, you can expect the same type of excitement and craziness when October swings around.
In Modern Warfare II’s Multiplayer, players will be able to try out and level up the multiple base weapons, explore a wide range of maps and modes, meet an international cast of Operators and more. Modern Warfare II will also have an incredible post-release calendar, set to include a massive amount of free post-launch content drops featuring new maps, modes, and blockbuster special events that can’t be missed.
And how about Warzone? Expect a fully revamped 2.0 version gearing up to drop too.
Soon after the launch of Modern Warfare II, Warzone 2.0 will launch as an extension of the Modern Warfare II universe. With it comes new technology, new features, and new gameplay that work seamlessly together. Throughout, the team has taken a wide range of community feedback to heart with both experiences. In order to fully deliver this state-of-the-art Warzone experience, Warzone 2.0 will feature new Modern Warfare II content and systems with brand-new progression and inventories. To add, today’s Warzone will continue as a separate experience that will include a continuation of player progression and inventories within that Warzone experience.
In addition, for the first time in Call of Duty history, the team is using one unified engine across the franchise. Starting with Modern Warfare II, the new title features the new, next-generation engine first debuted with Modern Warfare (2019). Modern Warfare II will be the most advanced Call of Duty in history, with a truly immersive experience with stunningly realistic sound, lighting, and graphics.
