Here’s the most popular NFL Teams on TikTok
A big salute goes out to the folks over at Sidelines for the roundup and with Patrick Mahomes killing it with his various commercials, it’s a no-brainer the Kansas City Chiefs have some serious star power when it comes to TikTok.
A new study has revealed the most popular NFL teams on TikTok, with the Kansas City Chiefs taking the crown, amassing more than 3 million followers.
Odds comparison experts Sidelines analyzed the TikTok accounts of all 32 teams in the NFL, to find out which had the most followers, the largest number of likes and the most likes per video on average.
The Kansas City Chiefs ranked as the most popular NFL team on TikTok, amassing more than 3 million followers. On average they receive an impressive 137,892 likes per video, and at the time of writing, their most recent TikTok features the ‘Elite Ball Placement’ between their Quarterback Patrick Mahomes and their Wide Receiver Justyn Ross.
The Philadelphia Eagles are the second most followed, with 2.3 million TikTok followers. The Eagles have amassed a staggering 57.1 million likes in total across all of their TikTok videos, which is the highest total number of likes of any NFL team.
In third are the Dallas Cowboys, having amassed 2 million followers on TikTok. On average they receive 83,193 likes per video and have accrued 25.9 million likes across all of their uploads.
The Detroit Lions sit in fourth place with 1.92 million followers. The Lions have received more than 37 million likes across 169 uploads, equating to 219,289 likes per video on average. This means that on average, they have the most likes per video of any NFL team.
Rounding off the top five are the Buffalo Bills, with 1.84 million followers. The Bills have the second highest number of likes per video behind the Detroit Lions, with 175,394 likes per post on average.
Little separates sixth and seventh place, which belongs to the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cincinnati Bengals with 1.77 million and 1.76 million followers respectively.
The eighth most popular team are the Los Angeles Rams with 1.46 million followers and 50,812 likes per video on average.
Ninth and tenth place are close contenders, with the San Francisco 49ers clocking in 1.29 million followers, while the Baltimore Ravens secure the tenth spot with 1.28 million followers.
The Houston Texans are the least popular NFL team on TikTok, with 333,770 followers, an almost 2.7 million follower difference from the Chiefs who ranked top. The Texans also have the lowest total number of likes out of any NFL team, at just 2.8 million in total.
A spokesperson for Sidelines commented:
“As the 2023 NFL season edges closer, it's interesting to get an insight into how teams stack up against each other in terms of online following and fan engagement.
“Three-time Super Bowl winners, Kansas City Chiefs, are the current TikTok frontrunners with a near 700,000 follower lead over the Philadelphia Eagles who placed second.
“Detroit Lions appear to receive the most consistent fan support on TikTok, despite posting few videos to the platform. With the most likes per video on average, they even manage to outrank the likes of more globally recognised teams such as the Dallas Cowboys and the Buffalo Bills in terms of TikTok engagement.
“With some teams being relatively new to TikTok, it will be fascinating to see whether the rankings change substantially once the new season begins and gameday hype picks back up.”

NFL Rivals has arrived for your mobile gaming goals
Whether you want to push your New York Giants into the Super Bowl or just want to see a team go from jokes to champs, the officially licensed NFL and NFLPA mobile game turns dreams into realities on iOS and Android devices everywhere.
NFL Rivals, the National Football League (NFL), and NFL Players Association’s (NFLPA) officially licensed video game that incorporates Web3 digital ownership technology, has launched worldwide in early access. It is now available for download on Apple and Google Play stores.
The general manager game with arcade-style gameplay, built through the partnership among the NFL, the NFLPA, and next-generation gaming technology studio Mythical Games, delivers on fans’ dreams of being a GM of an NFL team. The NFL’s launch of a first-of-its-kind video game, incorporating Web3 digital ownership with in-game utility, will allow fans to own, collect, and trade digital assets that unlock access to special events, in-game rewards, and other unique features.
Coinciding with the 2023 NFL Draft, this early access period - dubbed “Offseason” - will kick off with themed in-game events and player packs to celebrate the NFL Draft and allow NFL fans and gamers alike to compete against other GMs in a licensed football game built from the ground up for mobile devices. Gamers assemble their own player rosters and teams while building, leveling up, and improving their lineup – all in preparation for the upcoming global launch of the game and the start of the 2023 NFL season in the fall.
“With the arrival of NFL Rivals, fans can now journey into the fantasy of being a general manager of an NFL team while being empowered to buy, collect and trade through the digital ownership technology enabled in the game,” said Ed Kiang, VP of Video Gaming at the NFL. “Collaborating with Mythical Games and the NFLPA to produce an innovative gaming experience such as NFL Rivals is a testament to the NFL’s success in the world of Web3 gaming.”
NFL Rivals is spearheading the play-and-own video game model by allowing gamers to own, collect, and trade in-game assets while building their teams. Mythical Games’ “gamer-first” philosophy gives gamers true ownership over the gaming experience and in-game content.
"By bringing NFL players into this immersive blockchain-based world, we're not just creating a new level of engagement for fans, but we're also delivering a truly unforgettable experience,” said Terése Whitehead, Vice President, Consumer Products & Strategy at NFL Players Inc. It's going to be a game-changer, and we can't wait for fans to join us on this thrilling new journey.”
“Mythical Games was founded to usher in the next generation of video games and gaming technology,” said Jamie Jackson, Chief Creative Officer at Mythical Games. “NFL Rivals achieves this goal by providing gamers with an engaging, fun, and entertaining game that leverages innovative new technologies to take the gaming experience to the next level. While we truly believe that Rivals is an opportunity to showcase that our technology can democratize the world of gaming through digital ownership, we also think that gamers and NFL fans will simply find that the game is a lot of fun to play on their mobile devices.”

OBJ started things off by going to his Instagram page and not holding back. He initially started off the big announcement by reflecting on his journey to becoming an NFL champ.
“Man man man. Where do I even begin? This is as real as it gets. This last week has been one that I truly could never forget. I had never been more prepared and focused for a game in my life, I was ready to go nuclear and perform at the highest level that I ever had in my career. I knew it and I felt it in my soul, I was in my biggggest bag n nothin was goin to stop me. I reallly mean that!! I was ON. Motivated, determined, and eyes set on a goal that I promised to myself and this team from the moment I decided to be an LA Ram. Safe to say those were my plans and not Gods. I kno there’s purpose in all of this and it may seem that this journey has come to an end but it’s really just a door opening to a new beginning. Starting it off, as a WORLD CHAMPION.”
Delly then dedicated the rest of his message to geeking out over being on his daddy duties.
“2-17-22, 0605. THE biggest blessing I’ve ever had in my life arrived here on earth!
