Rap veterans still going strong in 2024? You better believe it. It’s all eyes and ears on what’s brewing with hip-hop pioneers Common and Pete Rock coming courtesy of their new The Auditorium, Vol. 1 studio effort.

Pete Rock and Common have you locked in with their new LP

It’s more than just a few new tunes. The duo deliver a full-fledged studio effort loaded with nearly 20 tracks and promises of a follow-up.

Common and Pete Rock released their first full-length collaboration, The Auditorium, Vol. 1 via Loma Vista Recordings - listen HERE. Created by the perfect pairing of one of hip hop's most evocative emcees (Common), with one of its most heralded producers (Pete Rock), The Auditorium, Vol. 1 is set to make its mark on Hip Hop history. The album is the past, present, and future happening all at once and in any decade, guaranteed to be an absolute banger.

Earlier this week, Common & Pete sat down for their debut joint late night chat and performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Listen to the interview HERE and watch their performance of “When The Sun Shines Again” HERE. Later this weekend, the two are performing a free summerstage concert at Herbert Von King Park in Brooklyn, New York. The duo is also set to make an appearance on CBS Mornings this morning and have taken New York by storm this past week on SiriusXM, The Breakfast Club, The Ebro Show, ABC News Live, The Cruz Show - Real 92.3 and more.

On working with Pete Rock on the record, Common says “Pete Rock is one of The Greatest Creators Hip Hop and Music has ever seen. It has been a dream of mine to work with him on an album. And once we got together and I I was around him and all his records and his MPC  I felt the spirit of what I always loved in hip hop in soul music and why I wanted to be a part of the artform. His beats, his production, his scratches, took me to a place where I could just MC freely. It felt I like I was home.”

“To work with Common is truly unbelievable. I'm grateful for the connection we have on this project and excited for the world to hear our new album. The excitement is unbearable. Common and Pete Rock taking over the summer!” Says Pete.

In the months leading up to the release, Common and Pete Rock released four singles off the album, “Wise Up,” “Dreamin’,” “All Kind of Ideas” and “Fortunate” to rave reviews. After the release of “Wise Up” and “Dreamin’,” Billboard wrote, “The duo has been working this album the old-school way, already releasing two singles, and both songs highlight why these two are considered legends.” With the later release of “All Kind of Ideas” and “Fortunate” it became clear that the album, alongside Common and Pete, will make its mark Hip Hop history. Saigon, Fredro & Pete Rock: It's three the hard way in the 'Get Loose' music video

Three the hard way? Pause. Unpause. Tough. It’s hip-hop artists Saigon, Fredro and Pete Rock coming through clutch with their hard-hitting ‘Get Loose’ music video.

Saigon teams with Fredro and Pete Rock for ‘Get Loose’

The song alone is audio flames but getting the cameras rolling, too? Must-see, of course.

In conjunction with the celebration of Hip-Hop’s landmark 50th anniversary, legendary rapper Saigon & and Swedish multi-platinum producer Fredro have joined forces to create a love letter to Hip-Hop.  Specifically, 1986-1996, a/k/a The Jordan Era.  They have also tapped many other legendary voices to help join their celebration.

After announcing their new album, and releasing the project’s first single and video, “Lyrical Genius,” which featured one of Hip-Hop’s “holy trinity of emcees” in Grandmaster Caz (co-author of “Rappers Delight” and the emcee with the longest running tenure atop the billboard Hot 100 Charts), Saigon and Fredro are back to “Get Loose” with another legend; Pete Rock.  “Get Loose” is now available!

With “Get Loose,” Saigon and Pete Rock show and prove that they are “the truth in the booth.”  With Soul Brother #1 rhyming much less lately, Saigon took “Get Loose” as an opportunity to lobby one of his favorite producers on the mic, to get back on the mic.  “I’ve always thought Pete was a dope rapper since “The Creator,” so I took the opportunity to get him to step away from behind the boards; where he is most comfortable, and “Get Loose” with me” Saigon states.  “With all of the negativity in Hip-Hop, and the world, I just wanted to create something fun with Pete.”

Saigon and Fredro’s forthcoming album, The Jordan Era, is produced in its entirety by Fredro and features guest appearances from Grandmaster Caz, Pete Rock, Big Daddy Kane, Kool G Rap, Grand Puba, Sadat X, Rockness Monsta, Craig G, Ill Skratch—with more features to be unveiled.

Saigon and Fredro’s The Jordan Era album will be released on 5-3-24 via the iconic Payday Records
