What’s one of the best ways to make sure the entire world is keeping tabs on you if you’re music newcomer Shenseea? How about putting out both a new music video and ‘Lick’ single with the one and only Megan Thee Stallion.

Megan Thee Stallion and Shenseea’s ‘Lick’ is yummy

After some mounted anticipation, Shenseea hit the green light on putting out the jaw-dropping new music video to the masses. It’s all in celebration and anticipation for her new ALPHA studio debut album slated to drop in March.

Global artist, Shenseea, has released a brand new single “Lick” (via Rich Immigrants/Interscope Records) featuring Megan Thee Stallion. “Lick” is the first official release off Shenseea’s upcoming debut album, ALPHA, which will be released March 11th.

It’s a Murda beat

One of the low-key best parts of the anthem is the fact it comes courtesy of Murda On Da Beat a.k.a. Murda Beatz and there’s an actual backstory worth taking note of.

Produced by Murda Beatz, “Lick” features a snippet from Pupa Nas T and Denise Belfon’s “Work;” reimagined by Shenseea as the track’s insatiable hook. Rounding out Shenseea’s own saccharine like vocal stylings on the song is Meg’s incredible rapid-fire bars turning it into an undeniable power anthem that will have listeners willing for Summer. Shenseea is featured on Apple Music’s New Music Daily cover upon release today.

Shenseea’s blowing up in a big way

Over the past few months, Shenseea has enjoyed some major success. She’s rubbed elbows with the likes of not only Megan Thee Stallion but rap heavyweight Kanye West.

Not one to rest on her laurels, Shenseea has had an incredible lead up to the new single. She was tapped by Kanye West to add her rap and vocal stylings to two different songs on the now Grammy nominated DONDA (“Ok Ok Pt 2” and “Pure Souls”) as well as playing her first ever U.S. festivals with Rolling Loud in Miami and New York. All while putting finishing touches on the new project, burning the mic on Funk Flex Freestyle and releasing fan favourites like “Run Run” and “Be Good”. “Lick” is Shenseea’s first official single of 2022 and will be off her upcoming debut album coming out this year. More information on that soon.
