Could you use some anthems to wipe away your summer love blues and ignite demon time flexing? Look no further than what’s coming courtesy of hip-hop artist Skilla Baby and crooner 4batz with their ‘So Bad’ tune.

4batz and Skilla Baby deliver ‘So Bad’ for the masses

It’s more than just a lovey dovey anthem. The duo come together for a hard-hitting anthem dedicated to every grinder’s bae but completely wipes away any of the gushy mushy tones with its turnt up delivery.

Revolutionary R&B trailblazer 4Batz hopped on Skilla Baby’s new track “So Bad,” continuing his momentum on the heels of latest single and music video for “roll da dice,” featuring Lil Baby.

In this new collaborative record, 4Batz pays tribute to the extraordinary woman in his life, emphasizing her unmatched presence and how she’s one-of-a-kind. The signature melodic tones of 4Batz intertwine with Skilla Baby’s unmistakable Detroit flow to create a fresh dynamic and energy between the pair. 4Batz’s verse opens with the lines, “Let me take you shopping” and “Take you to the tropics,” as he expresses his devotion to his partner, describing both the physical and emotional connection he feels when she’s around. While "roll da dice" introduced the pursuit of love, "So Bad" boldly advances the narrative with lines like, "I seen you on the story, you can be my shawty," marking the next natural step in this devoted journey of a relationship. Initially teased on 4Batz and Skilla Baby’s Instagram handles last week the music video encapsulates the vibe for “So Bad” hinting at 4Batz 90s inspiration as women get ready for a night out speaking to each other on colorful landlines, which can be found HERE.

About 4batz:

The 20-year-old Dallas native quickly made a name for himself with his debut track, "act i: stickers '99,'' quickly gaining traction, amassing 2.5 million+ streams on Spotify in under six months. With co-signs from industry vets like SZA, Drake, and Kanye West, 4batz’s “rapid ascent is the most exciting thing to happen in the last six months in the music industry,” according to Billboard. 4batz was named Billboard’s Rookie of the Month for March and was featured on their Artist to Watch in 2024, as well as Complex’s Best New Artists list of 2024. With just three songs released, 4batz has amassed over 100 million streams on major streaming platforms. His debut track, "act i: stickers '99,'' quickly gained traction, but it was his viral From The Block Performance of his follow-up single “act ii: date @ 8” that put him on the map. 4batz officially became a Billboard Hot 100-charting artist with “act ii: date @ 8” debuting at No. 77 as well as debuting No. 16 on Hot R&B Songs, steadily moving up on both. Drake hopped on the track, giving the artist his first major collaboration, and with an impressive 3 million streams in its opening 24 hours on Spotify, the remix debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart and is No. 1 on the Hot R&B Songs Chart. His highly anticipated debut mixtape, “u made me a st4r*,” released in May, featured the Ye remix of “act iii: on god? (she like).” The mixtape debuted at No. 2 on Billboard’s Top R&B Albums chart, and 4batz was featured in their annual 21 under 21 list 2024.

Tired of the same old rap bars? Look no further than Motown’s own Skilla Baby coming through in the clutch this holiday season with a jam-packed and must-hear We Eat The Most studio effort.

Skilla Baby’s ‘We Eat The Most’ is your weekend goals soundtrack

The EP comes stacked with nearly 10 songs and each one slaps. From ‘Tay B Style’ to ‘Icky Vicky Vibes,’ Baby comes through with 20 minutes of anthems on the Geffen Records release.

Today, rising Detroit rapper Skilla Baby unveils We Eat the Most, the new EP that confirms him as one of the enthralling young stars in hip-hop. Even in the crowded Michigan scene, which ranks as one of the world’s most interesting, Skilla stands out as a unique talent. We Eat the Most is available now at all digital retailers.

Long known as a colorful writer and adaptive vocalist, Skilla uses the seven songs of We Eat the Most to cement his credentials as one of the more observant artists working today. Whether decoding body language and social media posts like ancient hieroglyphics (“Duck Your Taco”) or recounting the hardship he’s overcome (the hit single “Tay B Style”), Skilla approaches his subjects from unique angles and with uncommon insight.

These talents come to a head on the punishing “Man Down,” which sees its accompanying video released today. Watch HERE. Throughout the razor-sharp track, Skilla seems to take pride in observers’ inability to see him with the sort of X-ray vision he turns on them. “They really think I'm just a rapper,” he says at one point, reveling in just how elusive he can be.

A protege of hometown hero Sada Baby, Skilla is carving out a lane as one of the Motor City’s most distinct voices. Though just 23 years old, the MC has amassed an impressive body of work, beginning with Push That Shit Out Skilla, his careening debut album from 2019. In fact,We Eat the Most is Skilla’s third tape of 2022, following Detroit Raised Me and Crack Music 2, giving him what is possibly the most unassailable resume in hip-hop this year.
