Billboard has the 2024 Billboard Hip-Hop LIVE going down with Teezo Touchdown and BossMan Dlow
It’s way bigger than a fire deejay set. Billboard has secured rap stars Teezo Touchdown and BossMan Dlow to set the tone with the huge event going down this September from the most iconic borough- Brooklyn.
In conjunction with Billboard’s R&B/ Hip-Hop Power Players and in celebration of the boundary-breaking genre, global music authority Billboard is hosting the live concert event, Hip-Hop LIVE, on Friday, September 6, at the immersive roller rink Xanadu in Brooklyn, NY. Confirmed performances include a DJ set byDJ Miss Milan, rising star BossMan Dlow, and headliner Teezo Touchdown. Rémy Martin will be the exclusive cognac sponsor, providing signature cocktails made with 1738 Accord Royal and a curated bar experience. “We’ve seen groundbreaking achievements from the R&B and Hip-Hop worlds over the past year. We cannot wait to celebrate the incredible power players behind some of these unforgettable milestones. Our Hip-Hop LIVE event will continue this momentum by spotlighting the next wave of talent, taking the industry and our charts by storm. We couldn’t be more thrilled to have Teezo Touchdown, BossMan Dlow, and DJ Miss Milan join us this year and bring their diverse sounds to the stage,” said Hannah Karp, Billboard Editorial Director.
American singer songwriter Teezo Touchdown combines emotive vocals with stylish pop punk, R&B, rap, and wit, making defiant soundtracks for dreamers. His debut album, How Do You Sleep At Night?, reached No. 3 on the Heatseekers Albums chart and No. 22 on Alternative Albums upon debut and has boasted over 96 million streams with his solo catalog. Teezo’s shape-shifting sounds have earned him an expansive fan base and support from artists like Andre 3000, Drake, Travis Scott, Tyler, The Creator, and more, illuminating his presence as one of music’s most inventive new creators.
Breakthrough Florida rapper and Alamo Records artist BossMan Dlow burst into the scene in 2022 following the release of his deluxe debut album 2 Slippery, which charted on the Billboard 200. Mr. Beat The Road, his latest mixtape, debuted at #20 on the Billboard 200 after racking up over 37 million streams and has garnered over 515 million streams to date. Getting the most out of Dlow’s massive charisma, the 17-track album is also home to two Hot 100 songs: the certified-gold “Get In With Me,” which peaked at No. 49 and recently hit #1 at Urban radio, and “Mr Pot Scraper,” which peaked at No. 93. Recently named Billboard’s ‘Rookie Of The Month'' for June, and XXL magazine’s Freshmen Class of 2024, as well as a BET Awards nomination for ‘Best New Artist, Dlow has received cosigns from industry stalwarts like Rod Wave, Moneybagg Yo, Sexyy Red, Solange, Lil Baby, and more. The rising star is making a name for himself with his unexpected punchlines, sly flexes, and out-of-pocket pronouncements.
Setting goals for herself at the start of her career to work with artists led NYC-native DJ Miss Milan to become the DJ and hype girl for acts such as Justine Sky, Saweetie, and now, the official DJ to TDE’s first female rapper, Doechii. Recent success in her career has added to her resume, from performing for Beyonce’s Renaissance tour and Coachella Festival to opening up for Doja Cat on her sold-out arena tour and more.
State Farm is bringing the Good Neighbor Marketplace to Billboard’s Hip-Hop LIVE event. The Good Neighbor Marketplace will feature local, Black-owned small businesses and deliver exclusive experiences to fans on-site. Billboard Hip-Hop LIVE will take place on Friday, September 6 at Xanadu in Brooklyn, NY. Doors open at 8:00 pm EST. DJ Miss Milan will kick off the night with a set, followed by rising star BossMan Dlow and headliner Teezo Touchdown. This concert event is strictly for ages 18 years and up.

Teezo Touchdown secures the ‘Up Next Artist’ crown
While there’s still 11 more months to go, it’s clear Apple Music is giving all the spotlight to Double T to get the Up Next Artist flexing going and setting the bar pretty high.
Apple Music today announced Teezo Touchdown as the latest addition to its Up Next program, Apple Music's monthly artist initiative geared towards identifying, showcasing and elevating rising talent.
"I’m honored to have the opportunity to be the January Up Next artist for 2024 and I’m looking forward to the other artists who will push music forward for the rest of the year,” said Teezo. "Thank you to everyone at Apple Music."
Between appearing on tracks with Drake, Don Toliver, and Lil Yachty, joining fellow Texan rapper Travis Scott on his Circus Maximus tour, receiving praise from hip-hop legend André 3000, and releasing his genre-bending debut album How Do You Sleep at Night?, Teezo is creating a unique sound that serves as an ode to each genre that has shaped him as an artist. With his debut album How Do You Sleep at Night?, Teezo reached No. 1 on the alternative albums chart in 49 countries worldwide. In 2023, Teezo's music saw a 750% increase in streams on Apple Music worldwide and was featured across major editorial playlists including New Music Daily, A-List Pop and Superbloom.
In his exclusive Up Next short film out today, Teezo takes fans through a day in the life around his hometown of Beaumont, TX and describes what makes his sound so unique. “The sound that I’m crafting right now goes by the name of ‘rock and boom,’” he tells Apple Music. “It’s R&B with the intensity of rock, the penmanship of hip-hop, and a boom that’s going to shake the world.”
