MO3: Here's a deep look at the late rapper's upcoming 'Legend' posthumous album tracklisting

It’s still hard to believe nearly four years have flown by with Texas rapper MO3 no longer here. But his music lives on as his upcoming Legend posthumous album proves with over 10 anthems including collaborations from heavy hitters like That Mexican OT, BigXthaPlug and Tory Lanez.

The late Mo3’s ‘Legend’ album is loaded with hits

Whether you want to hear MO3 solo or sharing recording time with some fellow hitmakers, it’s clear the Legend album has you covered with 14 confirmed tunes as it inches closer to arriving to the masses this Friday.

The estate of Mo3, along with his label H$M Music and EMPIRE share the tracklist for Legend, the second posthumous album by Dallas rapper. The upcoming album is a loving tribute to the singular artist, dropping on what would have been the artist's birthday. The upcoming album features guest appearances from a litany of heavy-hitters from the street rap scene, including fellow Texans BigXThaPlug & That Mexican OT, rappers who share Mo's melodic mastery like NoCap and Fredo Bang, and fellow entrepreneurs like Money Man and Ralo. The new album is home to recent singles like "Blood Money" ft. Finesse2Tymes and the heartwrenching "Tidal Wave." Featuring additional guest spots from Tory Lanez and piano-playing Texan Tye Harris, Legend releases on May 31st via H$M Music / EMPIRE

Along with the tracklist, Mo3's estate, H$M Music, and EMPIRE share "AR" ft. BigXThaPlug & That Mexican OT. The new song is Texas to the core, featuring rising rappers from Dallas and Houston to pay tribute to the late legend. BigXThaPlug, Mo's fellow Dallas native, unfurls his basso-voiced triplets to salute the OG, while Bay City's That Mexican OT rolls his r's as he calls Mo3 the "King of Texas." Despite the compelling performance by the youngsters, Mo3 remains the star of the show, delivering a sticky hook with soulful melodies and machine-gun rhymes.

The upcoming Legend album is the proper follow-up to Shottaz 4Eva (Deluxe), the 2021 posthumous album by Mo3. Peaking at #36 on the Billboard 200, the Shottaz 4eva album was a loving tribute to the rapper by those who loved him, welcoming guest appearances from Morray, Derez De'Shon, Foogiano, and Mo's friend and longtime collaborator Boosie Badazz. Shottaz 4Eva (Deluxe) is home to "Outside (Better Days)" ft. OG Bobby Billions, a heartbreaking account of street life that has become one of Mo3's most popular songs. The song spent multiple weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, racked up over 176 million YouTube views on its video (dedicated to Mo's memory), generated over 59 million Spotify streams, and earned a spot on Barack Obama's list of favorite songs of 2021.

Though Mo3 is no longer with us, his legacy continues to inspire a new wave of melodic rap. The artist animated the streets in Texas and beyond with songs like “Everybody,” which has over 100 million streams across platforms, and the Sam Cooke-sampling “Long Time Coming,” plus beloved albums like Osama and Badazz Mo3 (a collaboration with Boosie). The late artist’s family and team will continue to release music that he was able to record before his untimely passing. In the meantime, we honor Mo3 and his contributions to hip-hop: stand by for Legend.

That Mexican OT: It's Texas' own delivering in the '02.02.99' anthem

Texas rap heavyweights That Mexican OT isn’t slowing down for anyone - at all. Instead, the hip-hop artist is coming through with a hard-hitting ‘02.02.99’ tune serving as homage to his born day and his first fire anthem of 2024.

Texas rap heavyweights That Mexican OT isn’t slowing down for anyone - at all. Instead, the hip-hop artist is coming through with a hard-hitting ‘02.02.99’ tune serving as homage to his born day and his first fire anthem of 2024.

That Mexican OT comes through on ‘02.02.99’

It’s way more than a fire single. OT comes through with a full-fledged music video to fully set the tone.

That Mexican OT broke out in a big way with his athletic rhyming, delivered in a devilish Texan drawl. Embracing his dark side as he enters the New Year, OT shares "02.02.99," his new video single and his first new release since last summer's Lonestar Luchador. Slicing through a haunting horrorcore instrumental, That Mexican OT introduces fans to Virgil, his cutthroat true self (and his birth name), as he speaks sweet nothings to his choppa and prepares for world takeover. In the video, directed by his go-to shooter DGreen Filmz, a hooded OT heads out to the countryside in his F-150, where he wields a pitchfork, lights a bonfire, and dodges the undead.

Released as he approaches his 25th birthday in February, "02.02.99" continues OT's hot streak, which made him one of the most successful and exciting new stars in rap music. He started his legendary run with
"Johnny Dang" ft. Drodi & Paul Wall, which spent 12 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, and appeared on Lonestar Luchador, his acclaimed album. Acclaimed by Pitchfork (7.5), Lonestar Luchador came out last July, boasting highlights like the bi-lingual banger "Barrio" ft. Lefty SM, the melodic and guitar-inflected revenge anthem "Breannan," and the villainesque stomper "Cowboy Killer." Lonestar Luchador made an immediate impact, reaching #1 on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart and peaking at #59 on the Billboard 200. Later in the year, OT embraced a Texas rap tradition when he shared Lonestar Luchador (Chopped Not Slopped), remixed by DJ Lil Steve of the legendary collective The Chopstars. Featuring additional guest appearances from BigXThaPlug and Big Yavo, Lonestar Luchador is available everywhere via Manifest/GoodTalk/Good Money Global.

Lonestar Luchador capitalized on the momentum generated by "Johnny Dang," That Mexican OT's breakout hit, released earlier this summer. First gathering heat as a snippet on TikTok and Instagram, the Paul Wall and Drodi-featuring song spent weeks in the top ten of Spotify's U.S. Viral 50 chart, and spent 12 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, peaking at #65, #14 on the Hot Rap Songs chart and #19 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. Recently, “Johnny Dang” became That Mexican OT’s first song to earn GOLD status from the RIAA. Just last week, OT was named a "Breakthrough Artist To Watch" by Amazon Music.

This fall, That Mexican OT completed the "
Lonestar Luchador Tour," the Bay City native's first-ever headlining tour, selling out dozens of dates across the country. The rapper earned "Best Of 2023" notices from The New York TimesRolling Stone, BillboardComplex, and Pitchfork,

Recently profiled by the
Los Angeles TimesSPIN Magazine, and his hometown Houston Chronicle, and featured on XXL's The Break, That Mexican OT is outta here. Stay tuned for much more from the Bay City rhymer as he launches into the stratosphere.

Houston rapper Megan Thee Stallion is really built for some Hollywood filmmaking. The hip-hop superstar showed off her alter ego Tina Snow for the masses during her appearance on the latest STARZ ‘P-Valley’ episode.

Megan Thee Stallion bodied her P-Valley appearance

While she went with the alter ego alias, it was all about Thee Stallion on the series finale lead-up episode 9. Sharing the stage alongside character Lil Murda and chopping it up with Uncle Clifford, Meg made sure her presence was more than memorable.

The Grammy winner, who also wrote and recorded the original song featured in the episode, entitled “Get It On The Floor,” was seen in the role of Tina Snow on the critically acclaimed STARZ drama.

The critically acclaimed series is a kaleidoscopic story of a little-strip-club-that-could located down deep in the Mississippi Delta, and the big characters who enter its doors. New episodes of the sophomore season of the hit drama from creator, executive producer, and Pulitzer Prize winner Katori Hall will premiere every Sunday at 10pm ET/PT on the STARZ app, STARZ streaming and on-demand platforms and internationally on the STARZPLAY premium streaming platform across the UK, Europe, and Latin America.

Video is great but who doesn’t love some wallpaper-worthy pics?

Buckle up for the season two finale when it arrives Sunday, August 14.

Erica Banks has the summer on lock with her Diary of The Flow Queen

Sometimes you just have to give it up to Texas - minus the Dallas Cowboys, of course. Lone Star State native Erica Banks has more than the weekend goals on lock courtesy of her new Diary of the Flow Queen mixtape.

Sometimes you just have to give it up to Texas - minus the Dallas Cowboys, of course. Lone Star State native Erica Banks has more than the weekend goals on lock courtesy of her new Diary of the Flow Queen mixtape.

Erica Banks’ Diary of The Flow Queen mixtape is must-hear

The jam-packed 13-song project comes with a stack of anthems. Some records include Banks sharing mic time with DreamDoll on their ‘Toot That’ and turning up the temperatures with her ‘Trick’ smash.

Today, Dallas rap star Erica Banks releases Diary of The Flow Queen on 1501 Certified Entertainment/Warner Records. The fiery new mixtape is laced with dexterous flows, quotable bars, and beats designed to destroy the club. The 13-song set includes the hits “Toot That” featuring DreamDoll & BeatKing, “Designer,” “Slim Waist,” “Pop Out,” and the new single “Trick,” which comes with a glossy, celebratory video.

“Diary of the Flow Queen is definitely the party girl pack all in one. I’m letting my fans get in my head as to what I think a good time is, as I have put it into music. This one’s for the women that enjoy fun, and are not to be played with. Definitely a memorable project, my favorite so far”

Diary of The Flow Queen combines Banks’ ferocious rhymes with high-tech production and nods to the past. Take the infectious, looming summer hit “Trick.” Powered by emphatic bass and quick-fire flows, Banks unloads memorable flexes and an interpolation of David Banner’s hit 2003 single, “Like a Pimp.”

Erica Banks’ music keeps hitting harder and harder

Over the past few weeks, Banks has remained committed to putting out smashes. She recently added her own twist to rap group Crime Mob’s classic ‘Stilettos’ song.

Trick” isn’t the project’s only glimmer of nostalgia. On previous single “Designer,” Banks reimagined Crime Mob’s “Stilettos (Pumps)” for an infectious anthem. Meanwhile, for “Toot That,” she samples “Pop, Lock & Drop It,” a 2007 single from late St. Louis rapper Huey. While those songs look to the past, they’re destined to soundtrack the dancefloor in both the present and future. After all, they’ve already ignited crowds across the U.S.

Since May, Banks has hit the stage everywhere from New York to Atlanta, energizing audiences with her electric stage presence and increasingly dense collection of certified bangers. On June 18, she’ll light up the stage at Pride Fest Dallas, performing her bold, raucous anthems for thousands of fans. Other notable upcoming appearances include stops at the BET Awards, Lollapalooza, and Rolling Loud NYC.

More on Erica Banks

She’s doing more than putting out fire music. The hip-hop star is gearing up for some major concerts and festival appearances including New York City’s Rolling Loud event.

If fans wanted a show outside of concert venues, they could look no further than her freestyles, including Banks’ appearance on Hot 97 with Funk Flex. More recently, on her own YouTube account, she unloaded her FNF Freestyle.” A loosie with proclamations of independence and plenty of quotable flexes, the track is a perfect appetizer for Diary of The Flow Queen.

Over the past few years, Banks’ unique gifts as a rapper have earned her a rapid rise. In 2020, she made waves with “Buss It,” an irresistible single that smartly flipped Nelly’s 2002 classic, “Hot in Herre.” The song went viral powered in part by the #BussItChallenge, a TikTok dance trend that received over 2.7 billion views, and in the time since it was officially released, it has racked up over 248 million plays and peaked at #47 on the Billboard Hot 100. And now with Diary of The Flow Queen out, Banks is poised to continue her climb to the top.

Diary of the Flow Queen Tracklist:

1. Intro

2. Throw a Lil Mo (Do it)

3. Nasty ft. Bankroll Freddie

4. Feinin

5. Trick

6. Pop Out

7. Slim Waist

Scarface's farewell tour is really happening so of course you must attend

Do you remember those mandatory auditorium meetings in school? The ones where the entire school had to pull through - or at the very least everyone in your grade? Apply those same requirements for the icon Scarface’s upcoming Farewell Tour.

Do you remember those mandatory auditorium meetings in school? The ones where the entire school had to pull through - or at the very least everyone in your grade? Apply those same requirements for the icon Scarface’s upcoming Farewell Tour.

Scarface calls it a career and is gearing up for his farewell tour

Face Mob has decided to ride into the sunset but not before giving his day ones the ultimate in-person experience. The Houston native has announced plans to go nearly two months strong to come key cities throughout the country for his last rodeo.

Always the joker, Scarface quips about his career, claiming "It's been real. It's been fun. But it hasn't been real fun."

After a brutal battle with Covid-19 in 2020, legendary rapper Scarface suffered through a year of subsequent dialysis. When he was in need of a kidney, his son Chris volunteered, and in September 2021, Scarface underwent a well-publicized kidney transplant.

Although Scarface has been recovering well, it's been a taxing few years; and after selling out out his farewell show at Houston's House of Blues, he decided to take the show on the road with one final 32-city farewell tour, scheduled to kick off on July 8th, 2022 at Yoshi's in Oakland, CA. The tour will also include a stop at LL Cool J's "Rock the Bells Festival" on August 6th in Queens, NY.

Face will appear alongside his band Formaldehyde Funkmen, performing his all-time classic hits "My Block", "Smile", "Guess Who's Back", "This Can't Be Life", Geto Boys' "Mind is Playing Tricks", and many more.

Scarface will also be offering a special VIP meet and greet with fans. VIPs will receive a limited edition Scarface "Face Mob" commemorative baseball game quality jersey, and will get to enter the venue an hour before doors to hang out with Scarface to get their jerseys signed and take photos.

The Scarface Farewell Tour will be one last opportunity to see the legendary Scarface spit celebrated bars and shred on the guitar. This is a show that true Hip-Hop fans will not want to miss.

Save the exact dates

You know how social media is. One day a post is there, the other it isn’t - or there’s a network outage. Hence, make sure to take note of the tour dates both above and below.

Megan Thee Stallion’s new album is 95 percent done-done

While there’s no official drop date, Tina Snow pulled through at the 2022 Webby Awards and broke major album news. Barring any delays or reconstruction, Stallion is ‘this' close to wrapping up her new LP.

“Anything I want to give away? Actually, probably like 95% done with my new album. I want to tease that for the hotties. I haven’t told them nothing about my album.”

Could you use a little more context? Fortunately, the Webby Awards team has provided the full transcript. Geek out mode activated.

Webbys: You have so much to celebrate, you were just at the Billboard Music Awards. Had one of the best Coachella performances, Webby Artist of the Year. So I just wanted to know, what would you name this moment in your life?

Megan: That’s a good question… it’s so many things that I could call it. I don’t think I could really put a name on any of the moments, I can never put a cap on anything… I feel like everything is so big, everything is so colossal, everything is like blowing my mind everytime I do it so I’m just excited. I’m just excited to be here, I’m happy to be doing these things. And I’m always shocked, I’m like y’all want me?

Webbys: You shouldn’t be shocked, we all want you! It’s the Hot Girl in you, yes you are the Hot Girl coach!

Webbys: And you gave that to us. How do you feel about this moment on the internet right now with so many hot girls claiming their energy, stepping into their power?

Megan: I did not think that Hot Girl Summer was going to be this much of a thing, and can I curse? I don’t think Hot Girl Shit was going to be this much of a thing, I mean I knew I loved it and I thought it was fly, so to see that so many other girls, so many other women are like yse that’s me I’m living my Hot Girl Summer, I’m like yeah, me too!

Webbys: You’ve put together so many good TikToks when you go to events, so we just wanted to know –

Megan: yes, y’all are in my Reels, you’re in my TikToks, this is the internet’s biggest , the internets’ finest like how y’all gonna get on the internet without Megan Thee Stallion? So yeah, this is going in there!

Webbys: Hot Girl Summer is loading, so I just wanted to know what are some like upcoming plans, projects, that you’re looking forward to?

Megan: Anything I want to give away? Actually, probably like 95% done with my new album. I want to tease that for the hotties. I haven’t told them nothing about my album.

Webbys: You heard it first, we’re getting it soon we’re getting it soon. You are our Webby Artist of the Year - so last question, what does that mean for you?
Megan: It means that I must be doing something right and a lot of people want to watch me.
