Call of Duty: Of course The Rock has an insane connection to 'Modern Warfare III'

As if you needed more reasons to get your hands on the newly launched Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, right? Turns out WWE Hall of Fame and Hollywood powerhouse Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is more than just riding behind the best shoot ‘em up first-person game on the market right now.

The Rock has an insane ‘Call of Duty’ connection

Rocky hit up his social media pages this past weekend to keep things more than 100 on his connection to the franchise. Notably? How about the fact Call of Duty’s C.O.D.E. Warrior Pack features an actual family member of his and why it’s more than vital to show support for the new drop.

This is my cousin, Ben @blankscenario, who I consider my brother - and this is incredible 🔥

Ben is a 16 year decorated Navy SEAL
Command member of SEAL TEAM 6
Multiple Bronze Stars
Purple Heart recipient

He served our great nation and now he serves the veteran community as the inspiration behind the
@CallOfDutyEndowment (C.O.D.E.) Warrior Pack, which incorporates his military service and our Samoan heritage.

Every purchase of the pack in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III goes directly towards the placement of U.S. and U.K. veterans in great jobs + careers.

His operator handle in the game is KOA KING.
KOA means WARRIOR is Samoan.
This whole thing is very cool and bad ass.

Love you “giggles” 🤭 🐸 🇺🇸

You’re an inspiration brother 💜

This is a phenomenal partnership.

The Rock spent 15 years pushing to become Black Adam

There’s passion and then there’s serious determination. Turns out Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson put both together to become DC Universe’s Black Adam and can prove it.

There’s passion and then there’s serious determination. Turns out Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson put both together to become DC Universe’s Black Adam and can prove it.

The Rock really wanted to become Black Adam

Just 48 hours before his movie opens up nationwide, Rocky hit up his social media pages to explain the importance of taking on the role he has wanted for nearly 20 years.

Holy shit look at this press break from
15 YEARS AGO when it was first announced I was going to play BLACK ADAM⚡️

15 hard years of fighting to make this passion project a reality.

Years of studio execs saying “is there any other DC superheroes you want to play INSTEAD of Black Adam?”

My answer was always no.

To me - and us at @sevenbucksprod - Teth Adam’s story mattered.

A slave, yet blessed with the powers of Superman - Teth Adam is full of rage because his family was ripped away from him. Gone forever.
You may not agree with Black Adam’s form of justice, but he’s a protector of his people and will always do what’s right.

That’s a compelling, dangerous and universe shifting kind of anti hero.

And when I was a little boy the one thing that drew me to Teth Adam when I saw my first Black Adam⚡️ comic….

He was a hero of color.

That mattered to me then.

As it matters to me now.

Kids of ALL colors around the world will now be able to see themselves in Black Adam⚡️

15 long years.

Worth the fight.

THIS FRIDAY the dream comes true and Teth Adam comes home.

BLACK ADAM⚡️

The ‘Black Adam’ NYC world premiere was insane

While the attention is of course on The Rock - the entire cast made sure to show up for the massive event from the Big Apple. From Pierce Brosnan and Noah Centineo to Sarah Shahi and Aldis Hodge, it’s all flashiness with pics courtesy of Warner Bros.
