YG sells out the iconic Kia Forum
This week, YG came through with some classic anthems - both past and present - and did not disappoint. Along with his own anthems, YG also shared the stage with everyone from longtime pal Mustard and 2 Chainz to Big Sean, Tyga and Ty Dolla $ign.
Thursday night, multi-platinum recording artist and entrepreneur YG headlined a sold-out show at the Kia Forum as part of "The Red Cup Tour"with opening acts Oh Geesy, KalanFrFr, Day Sulan, and D3SZN. LA's "hometown hero" surprised a sold-out crowd of 18,000 by reuniting with DJ Mustard and star guests, including 2 Chainz, Big Sean, Tyga, Roddy Rich, Ty Dolla $ign, and Blxst. YG performed his top hits, such as "Toot it and Boot it," "Left Right," "I Just Wanna Party," "You Broke," "BPT," and more, for the city of Inglewood, across the street from where he created his early music in his mother's garage.
"The Red Cup Tour" follows the release of YG's latest album, "I Got Issues" released on September 30th, 2023, via Def Jam. It reached #12 on the Billboard US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, and its lead single, "Toxic" was the #1 rhythmic single on US radio charts. The 17-city tour kicked off on January 20th and makes stops across the U.S. in cities including Seattle, Los Angeles, Detroit, and more before wrapping up in Honolulu, Hawaii, at the Neal S. Blaisdell Center on February 23rd.
