Ready for some more ericdoa in your life? It’s way bigger than just a single or two. It’s a full-fledged studio project in the form of a new DOA album.

ericdoa’s ‘DOA’ album has finally arrived

After months of teasing and visual flexes, the new project is ready for your streaming goals with 10 repeat-worthy songs.

Dynamic singer, songwriter, and producer, ericdoa releases his latest project titled DOA – a testament to the hyperpop sensation’s evolution after taking a hiatus to delve into deep sources of inspiration. DOA offers listeners a glimpse into ericdoa's introspective exploration of identity, culture, and societal change. For Eric, this project is a testament to the power of diving deep into his bona fide self and using art as a vessel to tell his story through his own lens. Listen to the project HERE via Interscope Records.

DOA is something that came together from me having fun. I was over encumbered with my thoughts and took myself in circles during my process of creation. I had a realization after a while and let myself enjoy what I was actually doing, making sure that I wasn’t dissecting every last detail under a perfectionist spell. No intentions of making an ALBUM, just making music that I like and makes me happy.” - ericdoa

During his hiatus, ericdoa immersed himself in the study of Puerto Rican civil rights revolutionaries from the 1970s. Captivated by their resilience and commitment to social justice, Eric found profound inspiration that echoes throughout DOA.

The project’s artwork pays tribute to Eric’s recent personal experience with Jeni, a nice lady who he had crossed paths with while walking in Bushwick, New York. Jeni was with her daughter and husband selling old clothing and household items. To Eric, she embodied the selfless maternal spirit that the Latin women he grew up with carried and still carry to this day. The 10-track project serves as a sonic representation of the heartfelt impact of genuine connections and the enduring spirit of love beyond familial ties - like that he experienced with Jeni.

Recently, Eric’s viral improv performances teasing the project have captivated viewers on TikTok and Twitch – driving 15M+ views in the last week alone. With a growing fan base and a unique sound that continues to defy genre boundaries, the rising artist is ready to head back on the road for his 25- date “DEAD ON ARRIVAL” tour, which kicks off on January 25th in San Diego and will make stops in numerous cities including Austin, Atlanta, DC, New York, and more, before wrapping in Los Angeles at Belasco. You know the music slaps if it gets love in the Attack The Culture ‘News’ section and having ericdoa contributing to the culture with some fire tunes like the new ‘kickstand’ anthem? It’s sort of a big deal.

ericdoa’s new ‘kickstand’ demands your full attention

Whether you’re just trying to get into the mood to get your Monday started off right or just find yourself yearning for an anthem worthy of repeat mode, the new ‘kickstand’ goes hard from start to finish.

Singer, songwriter, and producer ericdoa releases his melodic, mind-bending new track “kickstand.” Layered and woozy, the soulful track serves as the first single in over a year from the rising artist. "You'll never be me just give it a rest, I'm gonna keep it direct," Eric begins the track. "Keep it quiet, I don't like to flex." He continues to spit facts on the biting yet infectious chorus: “Hit me like a kickstand with your pitch, man — never heard one song, but you're still a big fan." Erics ability to vacillate from rapping to singing is effortless, lending a depth and versatility to the track that elevates the whole production.

The track is the 21-year-old’s first new offering since partnering with Riot video game VALORANT for his dancy track “>one” in the winter, which the lifelong gamer performed at the 2023 VALORANT Champions Opening Ceremony. The track has amassed over 27 million streams on Spotify alone. Clearly, things are moving incredibly fast for Eric who’s still somewhat new to the game.

He self-released his debut album Public Target on SoundCloud in January 2020 and quickly followed up with his second album COA in November 2020 to fanfare from critics and fans alike. He soon signed with Interscope Records in 2021 and has since released several singles including “sad4whattt,” which was included on the soundtrack for the second season of the hit HBO series Euphoria.

Additionally, he frequently collaborates with fellow singer-songwriter and record producer Glaive, and their joint EP Then I’ll Be Happy was released in 2021. Last year, he released his fourth album Things With Wings in May 2022 and embarked on an international headlining tour. Now, with “Kickstand,” Eric is ready to return to the spotlight with a fresh sound that will leave fans and newcomers wanting more.

Riot Games and VALORANT come correct with ‘>one’

Whether you’re deep into the gaming or just love fire tunes, it’s the best of both worlds with help coming courtesy of ericdoa.

Singer-songwriter and record producer ericdoa has partnered with Riot Games Music and leading Riot video game VALORANT for the new single “>one.” The single will be featured in a trailer introducing the newest VALORANT playable character or “agent”, Gekko. It debuted on the VALORANT YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter and Facebook channels on Saturday, March 4 at 10:00 AM PT. The cinematic will also be broadcast live during the finals of VCT LOCK // IN, VALORANT’s ongoing esports tournament.

A lifelong gamer and avid VALORANT player, ericdoa (née Eric Lopez) tapped into his personal passion for the game while performing and writing the lyrics to “>one.” Its booming blend of hyperpop, emo-rap and trap are aligned with the ethos of Gekko, VALORANT’s first LA-based agent who leads a tight-knit crew of calamitous creatures in the game.

Riot Games Music builds on Riot’s fandom at the intersection of gaming and music — fostering partnerships with artists who can take the global player experience to the next level through music, live events, and IP expansion. RGM has amassed a catalog of over 750 songs including nine original Esports Anthems for the annual League of Legends World Championships, which have collectively amassed billions of streams across DSPs.

“>one” marks Riot’s latest artist partnership following collaborations with Lil Nas X, Imagine Dragons, Porter Robinson, Zedd, Jackson Wang and many more. Most recently, Riot collaborated with musician eaJ and award-winning music company Safari Riot to create the track “VISIONS,” featured in VALORANT’s Episode 6 launch cinematic.
