Tory Lanez Is Riding For NBA YoungBoy
TL went to his Instagram Story to pull through and show love to YoungBoy. He shared a screenshot of NBA’s latest studio album and encouraged him to keep his head up.
“U TOO REAL FOR THE INDUSTRY …. F*CK EM … FREE U TILL IT’S BACKWARDS”
The shout-out comes just weeks after YoungBoy blessed the world with new tunes. Despite having to deal with legal issues including a felony charge, his presence remained felt from behind bars courtesy of public messages to his supporters and new tunes.
NBA YoungBoy’s ‘Sincerely, Kentrell’ Is Battling Drake
The Louisiana rapper came ‘this’ close to joining elite company and doing something few people had accomplished. While behind bars awaiting trial for drugs and weapons charges, his new album Sincerely, Kentrell fought for a chart-topping debut.
The project was supposed to move north of 155,000 units in its opening week, battling Drake’s Certified Lover Boy, which had been #1 for weeks since its release, for the top spot. If it did debut at #1 on the Billboard 200, the Never Broke Again star would be the third artist to do this while in jail. The others are none other than hip-hop greats Tupac and Lil Wayne, who also topped the charts while behind bars.
NBA YoungBoy Secures Massive Motown Partnership
In addition to his new album, the Baton Rouge native is making major moves like always. Despite sitting behind bars currently, he's secured a ginormous partnership with a legendary record label.
The Never Broke Again star recently announced a global partnership with the one and only Motown on his Never Broke Again record label. He released a statement about the venture, and he’s making major boss moves with artists such as Quando Rondo, NoCap, P Yungin, Meechy Baby, Rjae, and Rojay signed to his label.
“I felt like I had a responsibility to my artists to make sure to find the right partner for my label. I’m looking forward to working with Ethiopia, Kenoe and Motown Records.” – NBA YoungBoy
“I’m excited to work with Never Broke Again, a homegrown brand that has created an incredibly authentic and credible movement that represents the next generation in Louisiana’s legacy of ground-breaking hip-hop labels. I look forward to working with YoungBoy and Montana to continue to grow their vision and reach their fans around the world.” – Ethiopia Habtemariam, Motown CEO
