Transformers: The new 'Rise of the Beasts' is officially out on Blu-ray today and loaded with awesomeness

Keeping it 100? Transformers is such a legendary franchise through the ups and downs and while the middle flicks were a big hit or miss, the rebound with the standalone Bumblebee in 2018 being a box office smash ignited love the for brand all over again and now a hard-hitting 90’s-themed Transformers: Rise of the Beasts has arrived for your Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD needs.

The new ‘Transformers: Rise of the Beasts’ hits different on Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD

Whether you’re going all-out on your devices with upgrades like a 4K Ultra HD player or are using your Xbox Series X to get the same graphics, there’s something special about seeing an action-packed movie like Rise of the Beasts with the best quality possible. You already know the action is going to be hard-hitting and seeing it in such a format? Epic.

Having the luxury of seeing the movie on Blu-ray, I couldn’t help but geek out over what graced the screen. Now, you might be skeptical of picking up your very own physical version but as someone who has seen such quality movies and content disappear from my favorite streaming giants, it’s a no-brainer for me these days on flicks I ‘need’ to have at any given moment being owned by me. No Wi-Fi? No problem.

The new Rise of the Beasts is more than just a fun movie, though, and one of the best reasons to secure a physical version of this action flick? How about all of the bonus content? I’m always going to push for people to geek out over everything from extended scenes to director’s commentaries when it comes to owning physical versions of movies and not relying on just the copy/paste content you get from a streaming service.

Now to be greedy and honest? How about owning the Blu-ray for traveling to see family during the holidays and being able to get the Digital Code to go with the purchase? Pretty much a two-in-one. So whether you’re the digital-only type or want the physical version, you’re covered with the bonus features:

Fans who purchase the film on Digital can immerse themselves in the world of TRANSFORMERS with over an hour of thrilling bonus content.  Take a deeper look at the AUTOBOTS, MAXIMALS, and TERRORCONS, as well as the humans at the center of the film. See how filmmakers recreated 90s New York City through incredible set design, music, and fashion. Go behind-the-scenes of the eye-popping action, from the edge-of-your seat car chase on the streets of New York City to the mesmerizing battle on the mountains of Machu Picchu, Peru.  Plus, check out deleted and extended scenes not seen in theatres.  Bonus content is detailed below:

  • Human Affairs— In a world of robots, machines, and aliens, we explore the humans who help save the world.

  • Life in the 90s— The filmmakers discuss how the music, set design, fashion, and cultural references transport viewers to New York in the 90s.

  • Heroes— Get an inside look at the inspiration and thought process behind designing the AUTOBOTS and the MAXIMALS.

  • Villains—Watch as the filmmakers bring the TERRORCONS and PREDACONS to life.

  • The Chase— Meet MIRAGE, a new AUTOBOT that converts into a 1993 Porsche, and experience the adrenaline-filled car chase through New York City.

  • The Battle of Ellis Island— Join the cast and crew as they go behind-the-scenes of the epic battle sequence between the AUTOBOTS and the TERRORCONS at the museum.

  • Into the Jungle— The TRANSFORMERS franchise has been filmed all over the globe. This time, join the cast and crew as they explore the new and exotic location of Peru.

  • The Switchback Attack— Witness the wild, intense driving sequences filmed on location in Peru where the AUTOBOTS fight the TERRORCONS through a town square and into the mountains 15,000 feet up.

  • The Final Conflict— Get a behind-the-scenes look at the film’s epic climax. Watch as the AUTOBOTS, MAXIMALS, Noah, and Elena attempt to save the world.

  • Extended/Deleted Scenes—Includes an alternate opening and ending to the film!

Optimus Prime. Autobots. Vintage New York City recreated for our viewing pleasure? Way too awesome. If you’re down to keep the Transformers movement going strong, secure your own copy and if you have the budget to allow it, embrace the awesomeness of 4K Ultra HD.
