Eve, Brandy, Naturi Naughton + Nadine Velazquez drop 3 new anthems
A few weeks ago, the show put out three new anthems. The songs included “Belly of the B*tch,” “Heart of Queens” and “Wrecking Ball” all through the legendary Def Jam Recordings.
The new ABC series starring Eve, Naturi Naughton, Nadine Velazquez, and Brandy as four ’90s hip-hop legends, now in their 40s, who reunite for a chance to recapture their fame – is off to an electrifying start with the release of new music from this week’s episode "Belly Of The Bitch," Heart Of Queens" and "Wrecking Ball" via Def Jam Recordings. Created by Zahir McGee, all the original music in “QUEENS,” is performed by the show’s stars at the direction of executive music producer Swizz Beatz. Tune in every Tuesday at 10/9C on ABC to see the full performances.
Serious star power all in one show
The series connects four memorable musicians known for their runs from the 90’s and well into the 00’s and even 2010’s.
Starring Eve, Naturi Naughton, Nadine Velazquez and Brandy, “Queens” follows a fractured girl group living in the shadows of their once prominent hip-hop dynasty. After their popularity skyrocketed with the success of their chart-topping single, “Nasty Girl,” they were once regarded as one of the greatest girl groups of their generation. Despite critical and commercial success, the group was plagued by internal conflict and jealousy. Estranged and out of touch, the four women, now in their 40s reunite for a chance to recapture their fame and regain the swagger they had in the ‘90s when they were legends in the hip-hop world. Watch episodes on demand and on Hulu the day following their premieres.
Even Cam’ron is messing with the series
A few weeks ago, Dipset boss Cam’ron flexed his support for the new series. He shared a snapshot of himself posted up alongside Brandy.
