YG's new 'I Got Issues' album really does hit different

The expression gets overused but when you hear YG’s new I Got Issues album, it’s safe to say it really does hit different. From the slow and churned out anthems to what he serves on hits like ‘I Dance,’ you get all types of ranges in sounds.

YG’s new ‘I Got Issues’ album is officially streaming everywhere

The West Coast rapper’s newest Def Jam offering comes back with both guest features and solo anthems. YG secures collaborations with everyone from J. Cole and Nas to hitmakers Post Malone, Moneybagg Yo, 21 Savage and Roddy Ricch.

Multi-platinum West Coast legend and superstar rapper YG, who surpassed the prestigious 12 billion career streams and over 2 billion YouTube views earlier this year, today releases his sixth studio album, I GOT ISSUES via Def Jam Recordings. Alongside the highly personal new album, YG reveals the visual for his song “I Dance.” The highly anticipated new album includes features from hip-hop heavyweights such as J. Cole, Post Malone, Nas, Roddy Rich and more. The album is available on all digital platforms as well as a special signed CD offering.

Previously released tracks include Scared Money” featuring J. Cole and Moneybagg Yo, “Run” featuring Tyga21 Savage, and BIA as well as Toxic” which hit in August alongside an incredible performance for COLORSxSTUDIOS. Most recently in the run-up to the album release, he released an in-studio performance for “Alone” as well as “Maniac” ft. Hit-Boy.

I GOT ISSUES is YG’s first studio album since My Life 4Hunnid (October 2020).  The album debuted at the top of the Rap Albums charts and top 5 on the Billboard 200 albums. It spun off five breakout singles including “FTP,” which was released during the height of the Black Lives Matter protests and became a social justice anthem for the movement.
