Numbers don’t lie and Thugger’s latest studio project proved doubters his pull is extra strong in 2021. Based on reports, YT’s new album sold nearly 100,000 copies in its opening week.
Young Thug achieves his third No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart (dated Oct. 30) as his latest release, Punk, debuts in the top slot. The set earned 90,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending Oct. 21, according to MRC Data. The 20-track Punk boasts an array of guest stars, including A$AP Rocky, J. Cole, Doja Cat, Drake, Future, Gunna, Juice WRLD, Post Malone, Mac Miller, Nate Ruess and Travis Scott. (Billboard)

Thugger recently talked about the motivation behind piecing together his newest album. Thug dished on the LP’s realness and authenticity for fueling its concept.
”Punk is just real life stories. The whole album is purified. It’s just real,” he said. “The whole album is just focused on one point. The hard part about this shit is making 12, 14, 16 songs about one thing, without crossing up and saying the same thing. That is why this sh*t takes time.
