21 Savage: The Atlanta rap star has even more Top 200 bragging rights

Atlanta rapper 21 Savage has way more than 21 reasons to smile over the success of his american dream studio album’s debut atop the charts. How about 200 reasons with the project going back-to-back at No. 1? Oh yes.

It’s all types of big flexing and smiling for the Georgia native. Peep the details.

21 Savage’s third solo LP, american dream, will spend a second consecutive week atop the Billboard 200 Albums Chart, as the opus logged 78,000 units this past week, good for another #1 finish.

The album’s tracks have also fared well on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for singles. All eligible tracks debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 last week during the albums first week of release, with “redrum” leading the way, maintaining a top 10 placement at #10 on the Hot Billboard 100.

At February’s GRAMMY Awards,, Savage will contend for six awards, including “Best Rap Song” and “Best Rap Album,” stemming from his work with Drake on their joint 2022 album, Her Loss. The six 2024 nominations are the most that Savage, already a 1x-GRAMMY winner (“a lot”), has tallied in a single year. A testament to his growth as both an artist and a star.

american dream represents 21 Savage’s return to centerstage, following a five-year hiatus from releasing albums as a solo act. The 15-track opus sports features from a who’s who of Hip Hop elites, from Metro Boomin and Travis Scott to Young Thug and Lil Durk, as well as a handful of cross-genre stars, including Burna Boy and Summer Walker. The full range of Savage’s artistry is on display.
