NBA 2K24: The first player update ratings center on Joel Embiid, Stephen Curry and Luka Doncic

If there’s one thing you have to load about gaming goals in 2023 compared to a decade ago, it has to be the video game franchises’ focus on keeping things as updated as possible. So with NBA 2K24, the need to keep your favorite - and worst - players’ ratings is more important than ever especially with the first update.

From the Philadelphia 76ers’ Joel Embiid going up a notch to San Antonio Spurs’ standout rookie Victor Wembanyama igniting the league, it’s all in the numbers.

2K today unveiled the first NBA 2K24 player ratings update following the first few weeks of the NBA season, featuring improvements for Joel Embiid, Stephen Curry, Luka Doncic and more.

Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid: 97 OVR (+1) is off to a hot start following his MVP season last year, averaging 32.5 points, 11 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game so far. Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry: 97 OVR (+1) has led the Warriors to a stellar 6-2 record to begin the 2023-24 season and has torched defenses for 30.9 points on 47.5% 3-point shooting.

More major updates include Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Doncic: 96 OVR (+1), Cleveland Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell: 93 OVR (+1), San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama: 86 OVR (+2) and more.
