• Play Now: Players pick their favorite NBA team and play against rivals from around the NBA in 5v5 basketball games. Fans can also select their favorite players and play street basketball in 1v1, 3v3, or 5v5 on blacktop court. 2K today unveiled new upgrades coming to MyCAREER for all NBA 2K24 players and to The City* for PlayStation® 5 (PS5™) and Xbox Series X|S. The City for New Gen welcomes players back with all-new beachfront courts and a streetball side quest while MyCAREER focuses on the single goal of becoming the greatest of all time.

Both MyCAREER and The City have a variety of new features and improvements this year, including:

• Key Games Feature: MyCAREER introduces a new 'key games' feature, allowing players to play the most important games based on the matchup, rival teams, and milestone achievements.

• New Story: Begin your NBA journey by stepping into the limelight as the most anticipated prospect in the last 20 years. Chase on-court accomplishments such as Rookie of the Year, meet with the NBPA to learn from NBPA Player President CJ McCollum and Executive Director Tamika Tremaglio, and climb from the GOT NEXT Tier to the GOAT Tier.

• All-New Beachfront Location*: Explore the brand-new City on New Gen, offering vibrant and sun-soaked beachfront views during the day and an electrifying and vivid atmosphere as the night falls. Wander through its streets and encounter new buildings, water-front courts, and Affiliations, along with a captivating Kobe Court for a more competitive environment.

• Starting 5*: Starting 5 is an online, 1v1, head-to-head mode on New Gen where players can challenge each other as they choose a team and slot their MyPLAYER into the starting lineup alongside some of the NBA’s biggest names.

• Streetball Side Quest*: With three courts throughout The City, the Streetball side quest is an exciting single-player experience for New Gen. Challenge bosses and tough teams in a rowdy and energetic environment featuring an MC, DJ and lively crowds. Streetball has its own progression system, with the chance to earn a Takeover perk, and offers a unique style of competition.

• Rep Your Affiliation*: This year two Affiliations, RISE and ELITE, will be pitted against each other. REP is back in NBA 2K24 - players start as a humble rookie looking to prove themselves and earn REP by playing in games. NBA 2K24: It's all about celebrating Kobe Bryant's epic game-changers in 'Mamba Moments'

Long live Kobe Bryant. The Black Mamba gets proper respect placed on his legacy with NBA 2K24 on deck - both from the cover art to a huge Mamba Moments feature coming to the title.

With just days - literally - before the game reaches the masses, Team NBA 2K continue to unload huge announcements about how much of a game-changer the new title will be - especially in remembering the late NBA icon.

2K today unveiled details on the new MAMBA MOMENTS™ mode coming to NBA® 2K24. From monumental individual performances to gritty, hard-fought playoff wins, players can harness Kobe Bryant’s killer instinct on the hardwood by recreating seven playable moments from his illustrious career.

“The NBA 2K24 MAMBA MOMENTS were selected to celebrate Kobe and remember how he was the most unique competitor the world had ever seen,” said Erick Boenisch, VP of NBA Development at Visual Concepts. “Our team took great care in building a realistic and authentic experience to inspire and educate a new generation of basketball fans on the legacy of the lifetime Laker that left his mark on the sport.”

MAMBA MOMENTS introduces some of Kobe Bryant’s most iconic experiences, including:

• The NBA Three-Point Record. In 2003, Kobe’s record-breaking three-point shooting performance against the Seattle Supersonics, converting 12 of his 18 attempts from behind the arc.x

• The King of Sac. Up 3-0 against the Sacramento Kings, Kobe slammed the door shut on the division rival's postseason hopes with a remarkable 48 points and 16 rebounds. At just 22 years old, the then-three-time All-Star proved that the stage wasn’t too big for him.

• 62 Points, Three Quarters. Kobe exploded for 62 points in three quarters vs. Dallas in 2005, outscoring the entire Mavs team by himself and leading the Lakers to a blowout win in the process.

• Three-Point Barrage Leads to 65-Point Game. The Black Mamba’s 65-point effort on the road in Portland propelled the Purple and Gold to an overtime victory in March of 2007.

• 2010 NBA Finals Game 7. Looking to win back-to-back titles for the first time since the early 2000s, Kobe did a little bit of everything during his clutch close-out performance against Boston.

It’s all about the overall gameplay and NBA 2K24 is coming correct with some seriously fun changes slated for next month’s release.

From a skill-based defense to a full-fledged takeover, it’s all about getting your gaming goals rocking in the new NBA 2K24.

Today, 2K introduced new gameplay enhancements coming to NBA 2K24. Spanning intuitive offense, skill-based defense, coaching, Takeovers and more, new gameplay innovations focus on delivering an elevated basketball experience for all.

“Our commitment to evolving the NBA 2K experience based on community feedback is a big reason why dedicated players and basketball fans have continued to play the game for the past 25 years,” said Mike Wang, Gameplay Director at Visual Concepts. “We’ve delivered NBA 2K24 gameplay enhancements that are more skill-based and intuitive, accelerating the gameplay experience for the entire community.”

Gameplay innovations featured in NBA 2K24 include:

• Intuitive offense: Shooting and dribbling are more accessible and intuitive than ever before, enabling players of all skill levels to flourish on the court. The moves have been customized and improved to serve any difficulty, and the ability to initiate electrifying dribbling sequences will help players create more space for high percentage shots.

• Skill-based defense: Counter moves are big in NBA 2K24. Perimeter and paint defense are both more effective and reward players for anticipating and making good reads.

• Adrenaline Boosts: Redesigned to make both offense and defense more engaging. Elite ball handlers will find more freedom to create while effective defenders can impact shooting abilities by locking ball handlers down.

• Coach with ease: 2K Smart Play is back on New Gen to help players streamline their offense, defense, and coaching to make it easy to call plays. Choose up to 16 preferred actions ranging from full plays to isolations and give-and-gos.

• Takeovers: Takeover returns for New Gen consoles in NBA 2K24 but with a new twist. Fill up the Takeover meter and then choose to activate either your Finishing, Shooting, Playmaking, Physicals, Defense and Rebounding abilities.
