NBA 2K Mobile: Your Season 7 gaming goals have officially arrived

Keeping it 100? I’m a console gamer - of course I’ve tried my hand at games like Call of Duty Mobile but there’s just something special about kicking back on my PlayStation 5 gaming goals. But my goodness if NBA 2K Mobile doesn’t make the push to gaming from my iPad Pro very tempting - especially with a Season 7 here.

It’s all types of awesomeness including 500 new animations, new rewards and tons of cool gaming perks with the newest season ready to consume. Peep the deets.

Today, 2K announced Season 7 of NBA® 2K Mobile, one of 2K’s flagship mobile titles. The new season brings on the thunder with NBA star and Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander as the headliner. Players can look forward to updated animations, new game modes, immersive events, and new challenges, complete with lifelike gameplay and stunning graphics.

NBA 2K Mobile Season 7 includes exciting new features and updates such as:

  • Debut of the All-New Rewind Mode: Rewind features new objectives every day based on the previous night’s NBA matchups, offering two types of challenges: Top Plays and Replays. In Top Plays, compete to recreate specific highlights from the night before, whether it’s draining a buzzer-beater or matching a player’s three-point performance. With Replays, players can take on the winning or losing team from the previous night’s game, aiming to either recreate or rewrite history. Complete these daily challenges to climb the leaderboard and unlock rewards!

  • Player- and Possession-Locked Gameplay: Players can now control one player or focus solely on offense or defense, giving them the ability to refine and grow their skills in an effort to be the best on the court.

  • Challenge Friends in PVP Matches: Rise to the top of events like Domination and Hot Spots, practice skills with Drills, and reach the top in 5v5 and 3v3 Tournaments.

  • More Collectibles and Customization: Players can collect over 400 legendary basketball player cards and create a star lineup in their favorite team's jersey. With the chance to customize their MyPLAYER in Crews Mode that brings fresh gear in monthly collections, players can add a personal touch to their team's jerseys, logos, and more to enhance the experience.

  • Managing a Dream Team: As an NBA manager, players can build their dream roster, select their all-star lineup, while strategizing for ultimate victory, to be worthy of the most thrilling NBA Playoffs matches. By building and managing basketball teams, players can compete in various basketball game modes, and experience authentic NBA gameplay and participate in seasonal events.

NBA 2K Mobile: The iPad gaming goals keep intensifying for me with PvP Challenges now live

I love my PlayStation 5 but until a slimmer version launches, it’s all about taking the mobile gaming goals rocking on the road. So of course the iPad is getting ample usage notably with NBA 2K Mobile and with the newly launched - and much-needed - PvP Challenges active? Holy smokes.

Whether you want to shoot your shot - literally - against a random challenger or finally want the smack talk to come to an end with your roommate or friendly pals, being able to go up against a real-life person - sorry AI and computer generators - is finally real.

2K today announced a long-awaited new feature, PvP Challenges, within NBA® 2K Mobile, one of 2K’s flagship mobile titles with more than 41 million downloads*. Available to all players today, PvP Challenges bring the heat to NBA 2K Mobile, allowing players to directly challenge their friends and family to battle it out head-to-head on the court.

After beta testing PvP Challenges and listening to community feedback, NBA 2K Mobile has integrated a number of updates for players to enjoy. The updates include upgraded visuals, UI/UX improvements, smoother connections for players to find and challenge opponents and behind-the-scenes updates that will make matchmaking more stable.

The new hub for PvP Challenges can be found within the game’s Chat section. Challenges can be sent by going to player profiles. Unlike other modes in the game, there is no energy system - players can battle their friends all day and night! To celebrate the launch, all players will be able to redeem a code for a Jade Tier Jayson Tatum card** through June 6.

To play, download the free NBA 2K Mobile app for Apple devices with 4+ GB of RAM and iOS 11.0 or later or on Google devices with Android 8+ (Android 9.0 recommended). Only users that are on the same platform can play against each other – iOS vs. iOS and Android vs. Android. An Internet connection is required. NBA 2K Mobile’s live 2K action requires newer hardware. App includes optional in-game purchases.
