The Modern Warfare II reveal might have been Call of Duty's best-ever
There might not be any better video game franchise in the first-shooter world than what Call of Duty delivers on a yearly basis. But just like a Soup of the Day, there’s a particular title which just stands out from the rest of the drops - Modern Warfare. So of course the MW II reveal had to be performed in epic fashion.
Taking on an entire ship to hype up the artwork and game’s official existence? Pure dope. The countdown to fall has already begun. Spoiler: Summer hasn’t even hit yet - can the anticipation be any more insane? Stay tuned.
Moments ago, the Call of Duty franchise did something only they could pull off, revealing one of the biggest-in-sheer-size entertainment advertisements of all time. Over the course of 24 hours, a team maneuvered a massive cargo ship containing a 90,000 square foot Modern Warfare II wrap prominently displaying the popular and fan-favorite Call of Duty video game character Simon “Ghost” Riley. Once the ship docked on the port of Long Beach, a giant puzzle was revealed, as the port contained another MW2 image that aligned with the cargo ship’s wrap.
As the docking took place, drone footage captured the ship’s movement while also revealing a first look at the game’s squad, called “Task Force 141,” featuring a global cast of characters. The massive piece of art also finally confirmed the release date of the highly-anticipated new entry in the Call of Duty series, Modern Warfare II, set for global release on October 28, 2022.
