Mac Critter: The New 1017 standout keeps delivering fire and keeping it 'Solid' in new music video

If there’s one thing you can count on when it comes to hip-hop artist Mac Critter? How about consistency? Maybe sure-fire - er- fire? The rap hitmaker continues to show out and proves it courtesy of his new ‘Solid’ anthem.

It’s more than just a fire tune, though. Critter comes through with a hard-hitting ‘Solid’ music video for the masses to embrace. Tap in.

The New 1017’s Mac Critter sustains his musical hot streak with his latest video for his new song "Solid" which can be watched HERE and streamed HERE.

The visual was directed by JayVision and shows the self-proclaimed Prince of Tennessee riding around town as he raps lyrics about loyalty, never folding on the bros and remaining solid. The release of "Solid" follows the previously dropped visuals for singles "Out", “Binary Triggers” and “P.O.T.”

“Solid” is Critter’s seventh video drop of the year. His consistent output of video releases comes off the heels of Critter’s two-disc project HIM 2 which serves as the follow to his debut mixtape, HIM. The former delivers appearances from ATL hip-hop legend and The New 1017 boss Gucci Mane, and fellow rappers YTB FattFTO SettYoung Scooter, BigWalkDog and Lil Double 0

Mac Critter signed to The New 1017 label at the end of 2022. Just a few months later, the Memphis native’s talents were recognized by his peers and industry tastemakers alike. Steadily dropping music from the very beginning, his gained instantaneous support and was shared on Instagram by now-fellow-labelmate, FTO Sett, and put him on Gucci Mane’s radar. “Wop saw it and was like, ‘Damn’,” smiles Mac Critter. “I had never met him before then, but he was a big influence on my life. We were always listening to Wop. When he reached out to me, he felt where I was coming from. God blessed me with this opportunity now. I’ve been putting in work. I’m in a bigger position; I want to put my family in a position to be straight forever.”

Thus far, Critter has garnered 47M+ US Streams and 21M+ YouTube views and counting. Mac Critter is solidifying his place on the Memphis rap scene as hits like “Mixed Emotions,” “Switches Dump” and Burst,"  continue to grow. “Burst” has now accumulated 760k+ US streams to date and 343k+ YouTube views.

Stay tuned for new music as Critter solidifies himself in the Memphis rap scene!
