Young Dolph built his empire from the ground up, in the streets of Memphis that he called home. Today, the label he built, Paper Route Empire, shares the new video for “Love For The Streets,” the opening song from his posthumous album Paper Route Frank.
The video for “Love For The Streets” opens with an audio clip of Dolph explaining that he wrapped his fleet of luxury cars in the same, signature camouflage wrap, not for the love of the cars themselves, but to be different: “I’m doing stuff that can’t nobody do, and that’s the hardest thing to do, is stand out.” As the clip fades into the track’s introduction, the camouflaged convoy takes to the streets of Memphis, passing local landmarks like the memorialized Adolph “Young Dolph” Thornton, Jr. Avenue and the Dolph Land memorial mural in Castalia, with old footage of Dolph interspersed as though he never left. At the video’s closing, Dolph is seen toasting his Paper Route Empire family as he lays out his plans to keep the empire growing, saying, “I love all y’all. This sh*t living forever.”
The video for “Love For The Streets” arrives as Paper Route Empire continues to work harder than ever to honor Dolph’s legacy and continue to fulfill his vision. Last month, Key Glock shared his new album Glockoma 2, before embarking on SiriusXM’s Hip-Hop Nation Presents: Key Glock – Glockoma Tour, where he honors his mentor every night with a performance of “100 Shots.” Tickets for SiriusXM’s Hip-Hop Nation Presents: Key Glock – Glockoma Tour are available now at keyglock.com. Fans of Dolph and Glock can pay tribute to Dolph at the traveling Dolphland museum, which has made stops in New York, Dallas, Los Angeles, Denver, San Antonio, Chicago, and Washington, DC, with upcoming dates in Atlanta and Memphis to be announced soon.
Released in December, Paper Route Frank drips with the same commanding charisma and booming Tennessee bass that defines Dolph's impeccable catalog. Featuring appearances by Gucci Mane, 2 Chainz, PRE’s own Key Glock, Big Moochie Grape, and SNUPE BANDZ, Paper Route Frank is available everywhere via Paper Route Empire.
