All in Date Night or Nahhh...
This feels more like a Previews, Reviews & More highlight but from doing coffee dates to taking flirting goals to the extreme at local Starbucks, it’s only right to show big love and attention to the power of these tasty drinks and getting a Central Perk subscription at a discounted rate? Epic.
When is the last time you fell for a heartwarming and equally heartbreaking love story? Turns out the recipe for both could be served up in the coming weeks once Aurora: A Love Story premieres to the masses in theaters globally Friday, January 27.
It’s tough to take the Transformer franchise seriously - there have been all types of releases since the 2007 game-changing flick but the newest version - Rise of the Beasts - might be the one to have you and bae embracing the big screen fun.
I never embraced the term and expression ‘chick flicks’ and even though I clearly know what the stereotype for those productions look like, I choose to go with the super professionally used expression of ‘cheesy’ movies - kidding, kidding but when first presented with the opportunity to review Darby & The Dead - let’s just say I wasn’t rushing to the iPad to screen immediately. It’s safe to say if you have a bae, this is for the both of you.
If I am keeping it completely 100 with you? I really thought I would just let ‘Willow’ play with the sound off and while watching something else as I ‘reviewed’ it. It started off a little cheesy. There was a little bit too much of today’s social awareness being presented. It’s a Disney+ production, which can either make it way too family corny or be over the top. Long story short? It’s amazing and something I cannot stop watching.
Is there any doubt putting Brad Pitt, Margo Robbie, Diego Calva and Tobey Maguire into the same movie will be anything less than epic? Of course not. So geek out and prepare for a certainly highly likely Date Night approved must-see with Babylon coming through on another solid-looking trailer.
Who says horror movies only reign supreme in October? Turns out the upcoming FEAR movie looks like it’s going to be non-stop crazy fun on the big screen. The star-studded cast alone is reason enough to see what the flick is about but it’s really all about the psychological horror genre getting a dosage of excitement fueling this must-see.
Just to be clear, I am always going to keep things 100. So even though my love and need to see superhero flicks have drastically dropped - no worries Deadpool, I’m still pulling through Ryan Reynolds - I will always push forward and co-sign flicks worthy of linking with bae for some high-powered on-screen action. This leads me to Avatar: The Way of Water.
Just for the record? I probably haven’t watched Enchanted since it came out in the mid-2000’s but holy smokes if Disenchanted didn’t spark all types of those nostalgic moments.
It’s no secret - ‘A Strange Loop’ is an absolute must-see if you have the opportunity to pull through for a memorable, wild and crazy - all in that order - Broadway production from the genius mind of Michael R. Jackson. And now adding in the ‘Daily Show’ host Trevor Noah hosting Black Theater Night on November 29? Christmas is coming early this year.
Low-key and high-key? I can’t wait to let the world in on what Darby & The Dead is all about with a Date Night or Nahhh… rundown but an embargo is an embargo - so for the time being let’s geek out over the upcoming film’s new trailer.
Man crush? Not really but who doesn’t have that male figure you kind of imagine as you holding it down in their respective professional fields. Whether it was Mike Bibby for me in the NBA or J-Mac in those Bang Bros adult scenes - we all channel that certain someone and feel a connection. So it’s only right I geek out over the upcoming Magic Mike’s Last Dance flick with a trailer you have to watch twice.
Start the countdown. The wait for Shazam! Fury of the Gods is officially ignited with a countdown. The story of Billy Batson who, upon reciting the magic word ‘Shazam!’ is transformed into his adult super hero alter ego is arriving in theaters this March.
Homicide cases for Date Night? Rest assured, you haven’t seen a series like with what 50 Cent has presented courtesy of his new ‘Hip Hop Homicides’ show especially with the premiere episode focusing on the tragic death of Pop Smoke.
Just when you thought Date Night or Nahhh… was only about movies and TV shows - plus Broadway performances, I should add - I go ahead and make a real attempt for you to convince bae gaming goals in the form of endless F1 22 gaming is a must. Well, it is and you’re welcome.
I normally don't forcefully suggest things but my goodness - after seeing Terrifier 2 last night and lasting nearly three hours - with the bonus post-credits interview segment with creator Damien Leone, my goodness, was it a blast.
Long story short? I couldn't get five minutes into 2018’s Terrifier without having to put my delicious Darista Dips beet hummus and Egglife wrap immediately away in the fridge while streaming this on Apple TV. It’s must-see for the true horror movie fans and those eager to see its new sequel going crazy in theaters right now.
Date Night approved? Of course. Long overdue but my goodness what director Ti West has created with the now-epic X franchise? As you already know, it’s vital to see the first movie before loading up Pearl, just so you have full clarity.
Low-key? The buzz about a new House Party movie seemed a little suspect at best but hardly 60 seconds into the red band trailer? I am convinced - Date Night goals might be fully activated once January 2023 arrives.
Oh - I should mention in the headline the movie completely justifies having Hulu as a top premium subscription must-have, too. The new Rosaline movie? It’s everything you want - classic romantic story by William Shakespeare, modern day twist and ample quirky moments you can appreciate from start to finish. Because time is money - quite literally, let’s jump right into the top three reasons this new Hulu Original is your go-to for Date Night.
