The new Ambré ‘who’s loving you?’ EP is must-hear
Need a fire project streaming right now-now? Say less. The five-song album clocks in at a quick 16 minutes but it doesn’t take into account the thirty times you’re going to repeat it.
GRAMMY award-winning self-taught musician, producer, and writer Ambré has released her new project, who’s loving you?, out today via Roc Nation. The new project is an extension of Ambré’s 3000° EP, released exactly one year earlier on June 17, 2022. The overwhelming positive response to the original project encouraged Ambré to create 5 new songs for who’s loving you?. The new project features production from Jay Versace on “BAD HABITS” and a feature fromMack Keane on “ELEVATE.”
“who’s loving you? Is a question I’m asking myself and asking the audience,” said Ambré on the forthcoming project. “What does it feel like? What does it sound like to be loved? This project felt very free and open in the creative process. I made this with the intention of having fun and being open. I wanted to create something that felt like “b-sides” or “deep cuts”, almost like a mixtape. Still very intentional but it was very easy to make. The project begins where 3000° ends.”
Already in love with Ambré? Gotta keep tabs on what’s on deck for her following this release? Say less.
The new project comes during an exciting time for Ambré. Just last week, Ambré was nominated for a 2023 BET Award for “Best New Artist” and at the start of the month, BET Amplified announced Ambré as their Artist Of The Month. Last week Ambré shared a photo from the iconic desk, teasing her forthcoming NPR Tiny Desk performance, and earlier this week, tmrw magazine released their June issue with Ambré on the cover.
Dedicated to New Orleans, the city where Ambré was born and raised, 3000° includes features from BEAM, Jay Electronica, Jvck James, and Destin Conrad. Project highlight, “I’m Baby” ft. Jvck James, just hit #1 on the R&B Radio Chart and has garnered over 1.5 million views on the music video, watch here. The project is an ode to New Orleans classics – Juvenile’s ‘400 Degreez’ and Lil Wayne’s ‘500 Degreez’ – and has received 41 million streams to date.
Earlier this year, Ambré wrapped the second leg of The Wild Magnolia Tour, which kicked off in Philadelphia, PA on April 16 and hit cities including Boston, MA, Toronto, ON, and Chicago, IL before wrapping with a sold out show in Los Angeles, CA on April 30.
