The wait’s almost fully over for the mighty return of rap heavyweight Big Sean. Of course he’s come through on singles but now it’s time for the full-fledged Sean Don return with his ‘Yes’ and new album coming up.

It’s a ‘Yes’ visualizer for now plus a hard-hitting album trailer with Better Me Than You studio effort slated to arrive August 9.

With new single “Yes”, Big Sean pulls no punches. Right out of the gate, a thumping bass line crawls through a funky guitar lead and simmering drums. Simultaneously, his laidback cadence slips into a verbal barrage punctuated by head-spinning rhymes delivered with unstoppable force.

Reminding everyone of his influential significance and undeniable legacy, Big Sean recently dropped a viral On The Radar freestyle in which he pays homage to fellow Detroit native Aaliyah, rapping over the 1996 classic “If Your Girl Only Knew.”

It lands in the wake of pummeling “Precision which earned widespread acclaim. Rolling Stone hailed it as “confidence-boosting, and XXL applauded how Big Sean goes rapid-fire on his verses.UPROXX put it best, “Big Sean makes a sure fire aim with ‘Precision’, his triumphant comeback single,going on to proclaim, “Sean raps over an energetic beat, reminding us that while he’s been away for a minute, he’s not going anywhere anytime soon.”
 
Making headlines, he also teamed up with Eminem and BabyTron on the internet-breaking “Tobey” off The Death of Slim Shady album, sending shockwaves through the game.
 
Additionally, he unveiled a highly personal and revealing VLOG entitled “Clarity” threading together intimate footage culled from the sessions, tracing the creative journey up to this point. Reflecting on how far he’s come, he pulls back the curtain on what to expect from this season of Big Sean.
 
Sean celebrated the 10th anniversary of his seminal DETROIT mixtape with an expanded version on all streaming services. Meanwhile, 2020’s gold-certified Detroit 2, exploded as Sean’s fifth consecutive #1 debut on the R&B/Hip-Hop Album Chart and garnered a nod at the 2021 GRAMMY® Awards in the category of Best Rap Performance for “Deep Reverence” [feat.
