Drumma Boy: The legendary producer celebrates his milestone birthday with 'Behind The Hits'

It’ s no secret, Drumma Boy has been doing this for a long time. So it’s only right the hitmaker puts extra attention and respect on his name by putting together an epic 40th birthday celebration with the release of a new Behind The Hits book slated to arrive this month.

Drumma Boy hits 40 with a huge release

While details are still coming together, it turns out the Tennessee music veteran is blessing the rap game with his very own must-read set to drop August 11.

Multi-platinum, powerhouse producer DRUMMA BOY, is  celebrating his 40th birthday on Friday, August 11th - fittingly so - sharing his birthday with the 50th Anniversary of Hip Hop, a genre he has contributed to in a massive way, including the now diamond Waka Flocka record “No Hands.” The celebration will take place in Atlanta with the release of his book “Behind The Hits” co-written by Tamiko Hope. The book gives a glimpse into Drumma’s background and family life, and features first-hand accounts about how he created some of the biggest hits for the likes of Yo Gotti, Birdman, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Pastor Troy, Young Jeezy, Lil Wayne, Plies, Kanye West, Rick Ross, Gangsta Boo, Lil Jon, Gucci Mane and more.

Dedicating “Behind The Hits” to his brother, Ensayne Wayne - who passed away in 2018 - Drumma Boy says “People across the world are familiar with my work or familiar with the name, but have a hard time identifying the face. It’s fun seeing people’s reactions once they find out I’m the producer behind some of their favorite songs. I’m super excited to deliver this book to the world and share moments behind the scenes that have created the soundtrack to so many lives!!!”

Never one to slow down, Drumma’s latest productions include Lil Baby’s “U-Digg,” and Kevin Gates’ “Do It Again” with the newest single being “Freak Sum” with T-Rell and Juvenile dropping this Friday, August 4th. Last year Drumma Boy released ‘Welcome To My City Vol. 4’ which featured [the late] Young Dolph, Jucee Froot, Fastcash Jizzle, Action Pack, La Chat, Bighomie KDogg, Jessica Dime and more - with additional production credits - Neko Da Don, Chriz Beatz, Questioner and others.
