It’s no secret - Joyner Lucas continues to glow up on an annual basis. So it’s really no shocker big respect is getting placed on his name courtesy of the MTV Video Music Awards nominating his and fellow music star Jelly Roll’s ‘Best For Me’ at the upcoming ceremony.

Just a few weeks after the duo dropped their hard-hitting single and music video, Joyner and Jelly have an official MTV VMAs nod with their names on it.

Critically acclaimed hip-hop artist Joyner Lucas has been nominated for the prestigious Video For Good category at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awardsfor his heartfelt track "Best For Me" featuring Jelly Roll. The awards show is set to air live from Long Island's UBS Arena in Elmont, NY, on Tuesday, September 10 at 8PM ET on MTV's network of stations.

"Best For Me" is a standout track from Joyner Lucas' latest album, Not Now I'm Busy, released in March 2024. The song, praised for its profound and touching message about addiction and its impact on loved ones, showcases the dynamic collaboration between Joyner Lucas and Jelly Roll. The official video has garnered over 15M views to date and features a partnership with Shatterproof, a drug addiction awareness non-profit organization. The video’s impact is further reflected in its chart success, reaching #2 on Youtube’s Trending Now and #3 on Youtube’s Trending for Music, #2 on iTunes Hip-Hop Video chart, while peaking at #22 on US Rhythm Radio. 

Following the album's release, Joyner embarked on the highly successful Not Now I'm Busy tour, captivating audiences nationwide with his electrifying performances and lyrical prowess. The tour concluded with the grand finale at Joyner Fest in his home state of Massachusetts. This significant event not only celebrated his musical achievements but also marked a historic moment as the city of Boston declared a "Joyner Lucas Day" in his honor—the first time a hip-hop artist has received this impressive accolade.
