The hype surrounding NBA 2K23 is honestly insane right about now. From the new Eras features to bringing back the icon himself Michael Jordan, there’s endless reasons to get pumped about the must-own title dropping in a few weeks. So it’s only right the newest reveal being an expanded The W experience could possibly be the cherry on top of this year’s must-play basketball game.

The W’s going all-out in NBA 2K23

For PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S gamers, there will be a load of new perks exclusive to the next generation players. From playable versions of the WNBA All-Star game and Commissioner’s Cup to community challenges and WNBA jerseys - it’s going to be a fun release for NBA 2K23.

This year, we’re rolling out 60 WNBA player jerseys spanning multiple Seasons and coming in Season 1, you can expect Seattle Storm, Phoenix Mercury and Chicago Sky, featuring two players from each team. By the end of the year, W fans will get to rep the jersey of all their favorite WNBA players in The City.

2K today unveiled new features and updates coming to The W* in NBA® 2K23 for PlayStation® 5 (PS5™) and Xbox Series X|S players. The W will introduce new ways to control how the league expands, community challenges, and more all-new content.
“The WNBA is quickly growing and evolving, and we are ensuring that we also expand the breadth and scope of The W mode to bring fans of the WNBA more ways to experience it,” said Felicia Steenhouse, Senior Producer at Visual Concepts. “This year The W provides an even more authentic WNBA experience that players can enjoy, from choosing how to expand the league to leading the community to new heights.”

The W mode adds a number of new features, including:

Community Goals: Every Season will feature six weekly goals the community can work together to reach. If the community is able to reach the collective goal in four out of the six weeks in that Season, every
NBA 2K23 player will receive a reward**;
