Nic Cage's 'The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent' is hilariously memorable
Oh my goodness, are you in for a wild weekend. Granted, there is going to be some stiff competition for flicks with everything from Bad Guys to The Northman being in theaters - but if you’re looking for the solid standout flick aimed at making all true moviegoers cry with laughter, look no further than The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent.
Oh, did I mention Nick Cage? Of course the featured image and the promotion Lionsgate has performed for the flick alone should make the legendary actor - for all the reasons you would imagine - stand right out in your mind. Less than 24 hours after going to see this at my local AMC Dine-In, I still can’t get endless scenes out of my head and - thank-you Lionsgate - this amazing fandom of awesomeness has me cracking a massive smile as I type out these very words.
From the coloring book to the signature movie hat and shades, there is just too much in here for me to detail - but my goodness, this movie is easily one of the funniest and craziest ones you’ll see this year - and that’s saying a lot when you have flicks like Nope dropping in a few weeks and of course the number of Marvel Studios films lined up to invade theaters.
It’s raw comedy. It’s satire on fleek maximum. It’s some serious star power and funniness you can’t help but get lost in - and of course all of those timeless Nick Cage references throughout the movie? Spoiler: You’re going to want to either watch Paddington 2 after seeing this movie or at least watch the trailer.
The movie hits hard and under two hours in length - which is a rarity these days - hi, The Batman - you’re going to appreciate every scene and twist, turn which goes down.
The cast is packed but let’s face it - it’s Nick Cage, baby. A slight review making its way in the News section but, aye, it’s Nick Cage, baby.
