ABOUT FUTURE:
Rap would never sound, look, or feel the same after Future landed. If you want to know where the culture's going next, just watch and listen to the iconic Atlanta rapper, singer, and producer. He went from cooking up beats in a basement for the Dungeon Family to generational superstardom with a presence looming from the streets all the way to The Met Gala. He literally brought trap into the White House as President Barack Obama rapped along to his quintuple-platinum banger "Jumpman" (with Drake]. He has collected 3 GRAMMY® Awards, dozens of multi platinum certifications and reached rarified air as one of only a handful of rappers to achieve Diamond status for 2020's "Life Is Good" [feat. Drake], affirming him as one of the best-selling acts of all-time. Not to mention, he carved out a place in the history books as "the first artist to release two Billboard Top 200 number ones in consecutive weeks." Along the way, he adorned the covers of Billboard, Clash, GQ, Rolling Stone, The Source, XXL and more in addition to delivering show-stopping performances on Saturday Night Live and Ellen. In 2019, he garnered his first GRAMMY® Award in the category of "Best Rap Performance" for "King's Dead" alongside Jay Rock, Kendrick Lamar, and James Blake. Kanye West sought him out as Executive Producer on the headline-making Donda 2 in addition to appearing on two tracks. He also pulled up on Gunna's "pushin P*” with Young Thug, appearing on yet another chart-busting banger. Future looks ahead again on his ninth full-length album, I Never Liked You, in 2022.

Metro Boomin completely owned Coachella Week 1
From John Legend and Future to 21 Savage, The Weeknd and the iconic Diddy pulling through for Metro Boomin, it’s clear he’s more than your top notch premium performer.
Friday night, Diamond-certified GRAMMY® Award-nominated producer Metro Boomin, dressed head to toe in Chrome Hearts, took the Coachella stage for the first time with an elite ensemble of ‘heroes and villains’ shutting down night one of the festival. Performing a selection of songs from the superhero producer’s latest album, John Legend, Future, Don Toliver, 21 Savage, The Weeknd, and Diddy descended on the Sahara Tent in full force to perform their Metro-produced best and latest hits with 21 Savage co-signing him as “the greatest producer of our generation” on stage. The Weeknd also treated fans to a surprise unreleased song while the legendary Mike Dean commanded the keys and saxophone. The set’s creative direction was created by La Mar Taylor with production design by Human Person.
Since being unleashed last fall, HEROES & VILLAINS captured #1 on the Billboard 200, Top Rap Albums Chart, and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart, registering his third straight top bow on each of the respective charts. Moreover, it eclipsed 185K in total first-week consumption, marking his highest seven-day tally yet, and has generated over 2.5 billion streams and counting.
With no intention of slowing down, in the brand and humanitarian spaces, the close of 2022 marked year two of the “Single Moms are Superheroes” campaign with his Boominati Foundation in partnership with the Steve and Marjorie Harvey Foundation, and Metro is making new music for the forthcoming Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse animated film out this June. Most recently, he was in a commercial for his partnership with Budweiser for the Super Bowl and MLB to celebrate opening day.

While Russell Wilson’s 2022 season might be one to forget, it turns out rap superstar Future is living his best life at this point in his career with some major RIAA certifications on deck.
Future ends 2022 with massive RIAA certifications
Whether it’s ‘I Never Liked You’ hitting platinum status or ‘Wait For U’ going triple platinum, Future Hendrix has ample bragging rights to end the year.
Best described as “One of None,” Future closes out 2022 without rival, earning a slew of RIAA certifications to conclude the biggest year of his career thus far. His chart-dominating magnum opus, I NEVER LIKED YOU, ascends to platinum status, making it one of only four albums to reach platinum in 2022. The Billboard Hot 100 smash “WAIT FOR U” [ft Drake & Tems] reached triple-platinum and earned the RIAA’s Top Certified Single of 2022. The single “PUFFIN ON ZOOTIEZ” also goes platinum.
These honors represent a much-deserved victory lap in the last few weeks of 2022.
Speaking to his dominance, Billboard christened him its “Hip-Hop Power Player of the Year,” enshrining him as “one of the most successful, and prolific, rappers in history.” Variety hailed him as “Collaborator of the Year” and attested, “The list of artists who benefited from Future’s Midas touch reads like a veritable who’s who of hip-hop.” Rolling Stone plugged I NEVER LIKED YOU on its “The 100 Best Albums of 2022,” going on to proclaim, “it’s safe to say Future showcased his range.” Complex named it one of “The Best Albums of 2022,” and declared, “Future is at his best on I NEVER LIKED YOU.”
“WAIT FOR U” captured #1 on Apple Music’s “Top US Songs of 2022” joined on the list by “PUFFIN ON ZOOTIEZ,” “LOVE YOU BETTER,” and “STICK TALK.”Evincing his worldwide impact, “WAIT FOR U” also landed in the Top 3 of Apple Music’s “Top Global Songs of 2022.” On Spotify, “WAIT FOR U” graced the “Top US Tracks of 2022,” while Future landed on “Top US Artists of 2022” and “Top Global Artists of 2022.” “WAIT FOR U” appeared on Amazon Music’s “Best Songs of 2022”and emerged as Pandora’s “Most Thumbed Up Song of 2022.”
At radio, “WAIT FOR U” reached #1 on the Urban Mediabase Chart in 8 weeks and landed at #1 five different times, making history in doing so more than any other artist on the format. After being on the chart for 31 weeks to date, “WAIT FOR U” is still Top 5 while “LOVE YOU BETTER” is #3 and still growing.
As always, Future constantly searches for new inspiration, honing his craft, upping his game, and ultimately beckoning the culture to follow suit. As such, I NEVER LIKED YOU represents a creative and commercial high watermark, eclipsing 3billion global streams and views and dominating radio since its impact. Moreover, he pushed the envelope with the music video for “712PM” directed by fellow game-changer Travis Scott. Watch “712PM” HERE. This marked the second monumental collaboration between these two superstars this year. Travis served as creative director for Future’s groundbreaking live performance of “LOVE YOU BETTER” from the Brooklyn Academy of Music on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel LIVE!
Future also capped off this banner 2022 by picking up six nominations at the 2023 GRAMMY® Awards. The Atlanta juggernaut has notched multiple nods in coveted categories. He landed two nominations for “Best Rap Song” with both “WAIT FOR U “[ft. Drake & Tems] and “Pushin P” [ft. Young Thug] with Gunna as well as two nominations for “Best Melodic Rap Performance” for both “WAIT FOR U” and DJ Khaled’s “Beautiful” [ft. SZA & Future]. Elsewhere, he competes for “Best Rap Album” with I NEVER LIKED YOU and received a nod in “Best Rap Performance” for the mega-hit “Pushin P.” I NEVER LIKED YOU crashed the charts as the biggest debut of the rapper’s career, and continues to put up numbers, further securing his place in history with this magnum opus. Upon arrival, he emerged as the 5th artist in history to simultaneously debut at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200 with I NEVER LIKED YOU atop the Billboard 200 and “WAIT FOR U” at #1 on the Hot 100. On Spotify, he captured #1-10 on Top Songs Debut USA Chart in addition to landing a #1 US and Global Album Debut. Not to mention, he became the most-streamed artist on Spotify worldwide on April 29. I NEVER LIKED YOU landed at #1 on the Billboard 200 and moved a staggering 221,512 units first-week in the US alone. This notably marks Future his 8th #1 album on the Billboard 200 with the most seven-day sales of his illustrious career so far.

GQ calls Future the best rapper alive
Future Hendrix has been doing this a very long time and with the interview being conducted by hip-hop personality Elliott Wilson, there’s no question a little controversy and choice words are enough to spark a ton of attention - and clicks - for this new feature.
“Artistically, his impact can’t be denied. Especially not after eight solo albums, 19 solo mixtapes, one collaborative album, four collaborative mixtapes, two EPs, and one soundtrack (for 2018’s Superfly). Worldwide, he’s been streamed over 30 billion times and has, in the process, inspired an entire generation of rappers. Few artists are as prolific
When you survey the hip-hop landscape, no other artist has been as consistently excellent, or as influential, for as long as he has. He invented his own sound, which has since become the dominant style in rap. He has delivered hit after hit after hit. And he’s done it all on his own terms.
I’ll say it again: Future is the best rapper alive.” – GQ
The stunning Future snapshots
Since making the major proclamation, snapshots and footage from the cover feature featuring Future have scattered across social media.
“Few artists are as prolific. As widely imitated. As consistently excellent. Which is why it’s finally time to declare what’s been true for a while now... Future is the best rapper alive. Read the full story at the link in bio. Photographs by @gstyles. Styled by @mobolajidawodu.”

Atlanta rapper Future is done teasing. The hip-hop superstar has come through just 72 hours before Valentine’s Day with his heartfelt and hard-hitting new ‘Worst Day’ single and music video premiere.
Future’s ‘Worst Day’ has happened
Future Hendrix’s new release comes with V-Day pulling up and gives him the opportunity to celebrate it in his own way. The rap heavyweight releases his new anthem through Freebandz/Epic Records and it marks his first original solo music since 2020.
The song pops off as classic Future through and through with an intoxicating and inimitable flow before he drops an instantly irresistible refrain. The accompanying visual speaks to his influence on all aspects of love—from the good to the bad (and everything in between). Fittingly, social media phenomenon and dating specialist Dr. Kevin Samuels makes an appearance in the video for a one-on-one session with Future. On the track, he laments, “Valentine’s Day, the worst day, got too many to please.” Prior to its premiere, Future opened about his “addictions” to Chanel, Birkin, and Dior in the hilarious viral trailer, which paved the way for the video.
Some of our favorite ‘Worst Day’ moments
Of course we’re fans of cinematic greatness. Check out 12 epic snapshots from the must-see music video.
In case you’re still catching up on Future’s run
Even though he’s a certified rap superstar, Future might still be a newbie for a select few. Here’s a breakdown on why Future’s more than your average hip-hop heavyweight. Needless to say, he’s been doing this for a very long time.
Where would hip-hop be without Future? With millions of singles and albums sold, countless packed shows, and streams in the billions, his shadow looms heavy over the game. He carried trap music from the bandos to fashion shows as a generation of Southern artists rose in his wake. A decade-long grind gave rise to an unbelievable string of mixtapes, reaching its apex on the trifecta of Monster, Beast Mode, and 56 Nights. 2015’s DS2 became his first of five number one debuts on the Billboard Top 200 followed by What a Time To Be Alive with Drake and EVOL.
In 2017, he unleashed the platinum-certified Future and gold-selling Hndrxx back-to-back and emerged as “the first artist to release two Billboard Top 200 number ones in consecutive weeks.” Future‘s “Mask Off” went quadruple-platinum, ascended to #5 on the Hot 100, and became his biggest smash yet. He performed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, lit up Coachella, and headlined the massive “Nobody Safe” Tour. As he covered issues of GQ, Rolling Stone, and XXL, Hndrxx graced year-end lists from Pitchfork, Complex, Entertainment Weekly, Noisey, Variety, and more. He teamed with Young Thug for the collaborative epic Super Slimey, which captured #2 on the Billboard Top 200 upon arrival. Extending his reach yet again, he provided the soundtrack for the high-profile Superfly remake as he readies a barrage of new projects to be unveiled at his signature prolific pace. 2019 saw him win his first GRAMMY® Award in the category of “Best Rap Performance” for “King’s Dead” alongside Jay Rock, Kendrick Lamar, and James Blake. 2022 saw him feature on Gunna’s latest smash “pushin P” with Young Thug, paving the way for more to come.
