Do you love what rap heavyweight NLE Choppa is serving up to the masses? Look no further than his decision to turn a fire ‘Pistol Paccin’ anthem into much more than a hard-hitting music video by going the holiday season route this December.

NLE Choppa’s ‘Pistol Paccin’ is all about the Christmas season

Clocking in at nearly three minutes, NLE teams with hip-hop artist BigXThaPlug to deliver a visual gem to the masses. But at the same time, it’s all about celebrating the good deeds Choppa’s doing this time of year.

With more than 31 million TikTok views, 4.7 million “likes,” and overwhelming demand from fans online, Memphis-bred rap star NLE Choppa is celebrating this holiday unwrapping his much-anticipated new music video “Pistol Paccin” featuring breakout Texas rapper BigXThaPlug via NLE Entertainment/Warner Records.

Tis’ the season of giving so NLE Choppa personally donated toys, clothes, and books to more than 300 hundred kids from his Parkway Village hometown in Memphis. “I’m just living my purpose, doing what God would want me to do. He blessed me to be able to bless others,” said the multi-platinum rapper. Memphis Mayor-elect Paul Young attended the event to give his support to Choppa saying, “these are the type of feel-good moments our city needs.” Watch the full FOX 13 news clip HERE

From the jump, NLE Choppa’s flow leaves this soundscape in flames as the chantable chorus takes hold, “Pistol paccin, never lackin’, run up.” BigXThaPlug counters with a catchy and quotable verse punctuated by his laidback delivery and signature tone. In the accompanying visual, they dominate at an arena size basketball court, rapping right to the camera with clear intent. Filled with animated graphics and “meme-able” moments, the clips place them center court as the new generation’s champions!

“Pistol Paccin” just continues a hot streak for NLE Choppa. He recently uncovered the latest installment of his celebrated multi-platinum “Shotta Flow” series, “Shotta Flow 7.” Listen HERE and watch the music video HERE.

It vaulted to #13 on the TikTok Viral Music Chart with 156K “creates” to date. The music video also notably cracked the Top 30 on YouTube upon release. Plus, it has already gathered 14.6 million streams in addition to 3.3 million YouTube views.

The ”Shotta Flow” series has impressively generated over 687.8M global streams and nearly 1B views. It kicked off in 2019 with “Shotta Flow,” which went triple-platinum and spawned a double-platinum Remix featuring BLUEFACE. “Shotta Flow 2” and “Shotta Flow 3” also both reached platinum status. “Shotta Flow 6” served as the opener to his acclaimed 2022 album, Me vs. Me, which posted up 111M global streams and counting, in addition to over 30M YouTube views on the music video.

Earlier this fall, NLE Choppa dropped Cottonwood 2: Deluxe 2.0. He added nine brand new tracks to his 2023 opus Cottonwood 2, offering the definitive vision of this body of work. Listen HERE.

He preceded Cottonwood 2: Deluxe 2.0 with his very first short film, Nightmare On Cottonwood. NLE Choppa personally co-directed Nightmare On Cottonwood alongside Ben Marc. Additionally, he attracted an all-star supporting cast to bring everything to life, including Kai Cenat, DDG, Sukihana, and Funny Marco, among others. Nightmare On Cottonwood showcases his influence as a true hometown hero and sees him evolve again—it’s no wonder GQ christened him “one of the biggest names in rap.” Watch HERE.

Moneybagg Yo celebrates his born day with money to 'Blow' on his new song

Memphis rapper Moneybagg Yo is making sure today is bigger than just his born day. The hip-hop heavyweight has come through with his new ‘Blow’ anthem for the masses.

Memphis rapper Moneybagg Yo is making sure today is bigger than just his born day. The hip-hop heavyweight has come through with his new ‘Blow’ anthem for the masses.

Moneybagg Yo’s ‘Blow’ anthem comes on his birthday

From the witty wordplay to the hard bars, there’s no shortcuts when it comes to a Moneybagg verse being light or forgettable. Staying busy-busy, Yo finds the time to come through on his newest audio gem.

Today, Multi-Platinum Memphis superstar, Moneybagg Younleashes his anthemic new single “Blow.” Relentless and unfiltered, the track displays the skill and the gravity that has made Moneybagg Yo one of raps most instantly recognizable voices — and one of its most colorful, acrobatic MCs. With this release, Bagg is featured on New Music Daily on Apple Music. Listen to the track HERE via CMG/N-Less/Interscope Records.

Where Moneybagg Yo has, in the past, drawn compelling tension between trauma and consumption, on “Blow” he smartly blurs the line between the two. The song’s cleverest turn is that it seems to apply the same scrutiny to human beings that one would use to suss out a fake Rolex. “Hard to sort out all the fake from the real,” he raps over punishing drums. “Gotta look at this shit for what it is.”

This year Moneybagg Yo has kept himself busier than ever. The rapper has been nominated for Billboard Music and iHeartRadio Awards, received acclaim from publications like Pitchfork, Forbes and the New York Times, and collaborated with A-list stars like Kanye West, 2 Chainz, and YG — with whom he recently performed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Moneybagg Yo has also established himself as a supreme scout and developer of talent: His artist BIG30 was recently tapped as part of XXL’s latest Freshman Class. Most recently he appeared on the CMG compilation Gangsta Art – a collaborative album with his labelmates. One of his songs from that album, “Big League,” which features CMG CEO Yo Gotti, Mozzy, and Lil Poppa was chosen as the official song of the 2022 NBA Finals. Prior to that, his most recent solo album, 2021’s No. 1 critically acclaimed A Gangsta’s Pain, was certified Gold.

Yo Gotti and GloRilla have joined forces with huge CMG signing

It’s all about leveling up for GloRilla in 2022. With new music dropping and co-signs growing, the hip-hop artist has secured a major deal with Memphis rap legend Yo Gotti and his CMG record company.

It’s all about leveling up for GloRilla in 2022. With new music dropping and co-signs growing, the hip-hop artist has secured a major deal with Memphis rap legend Yo Gotti and his CMG record company.

Yo Gotti and GloRilla have joined forces

Details are just now emerging and reveal Gotti didn’t waste any time making Glo an official part of the team. The partnership now gives her support from both Yo’s label and the iconic Interscope Records.

Today, multiplatinum musician, entrepreneur and record executive, Yo Gotti announces his signing of the most-sought after emerging artist in the industry, GloRilla --off the heels of her smash Billboard Hot 100 anthem “FNF (Let’s Go).”

Since releasing “FNF” in late-April, GloRilla has taken the music industry by storm, as the song sparked the viral #FNFChallenge on TikTok while the music video generated over 22 million views (and counting) since its release in late-April. By signing the scorching star to his esteemed CMG record label in partnership with Interscope Records, Gotti is adding more firepower to CMG’s loaded roster while further showcasing the label’s versatility.

Yo Gotti and GloRilla speak on the huge partnership

It didn’t take long before both Yo and Flo finally broke their silence to dish on their new business relationship. Gotti talked about the rising rap star’s overnight success.

GloRilla is a natural born star – she has a different sound and approach that’s needed in hip-hop right now,” Gotti said. “It’s one of the quickest rises that I’ve seen in my career because she only dropped in late-April and now she has the hottest cultural records in music. Glo is hungry for success and determined to win. We look forward to watching her grow as an artist and reach her full potential.”

Glo’s buzz has only grown stronger courtesy of co-signs from Cardi B, Saweetie and Latto. She even teamed up with Duke Deuce for their ‘Crunk Ain’t Dead’ anthem. So of course she had to speak on catching a major break.

“I’ve put in years of hard work to get this point and I’m blessed to sign with the hottest label in music with CMG,” GloRilla said. “I manifested this moment and trusted my talent even when others didn’t. I’m grateful for Gotti for believing in me and I’m not gonna let up. Trust that I have more new heat on the way.”

The CMG conglomerate keeps growing

Just keeping it 100? CMG is stacked with heavyweights. Everyone from Memphis’ own Moneybagg Yo to EST Gee have found success at the growing enterprise.

The announcement comes shortly after CMG was featured on the cover of Billboard and crowned as “The Hardest-Working Label in Hip-Hop.” Signing GloRilla merely fortifies CMG’s loaded roster that includes Moneybagg Yo, 42 Dugg, EST Gee, Mozzy, Blac Youngsta, Blocboy JB, Lil Poppa, Big Boogie, Lehla Samia and 10Percent.

Through the first six months of 2022, CMG has expanded exponentially. In recent months, Gotti signed his first R&B artist in Lehla Samia, inked Jacksonville hip-hop artist Lil Poppa, brought on up-and-comer 10Percent and announced that Mozzy joined the label at the acclaimed, CMG Press Conference in February.

Most recently, Gotti’s CMG collaboration with Moneybagg Yo, Mozzy and Lil Poppa on “Big League” was recently tapped as the official song of the 2022 NBA Finals between the Golden State Warriors and the Boston Celtics.

Moneybagg Yo + Ari Fletcher Are Going Nearly Vegan

It all started with Ari going to her Twitter page to reveal her plans to completely switch up her eating habits. In addition to falling back from traditional animal-based cuisine, she also restricted other types of tasty foods.

“30 days of meat, nothing fried, no pasta, no bread. Only fish/shrimp, veggies, brown rice, fruit and water. PRAY FOR ME.”

Fortunately, she won’t take this journey on her own. Fletcher’s ride or die boyfriend Moneybagg Yo is riding with her.

Rihanna Follows JAY-Z’s Vegan Blueprint

Earlier in the year, R&B superstar Rihanna made a major business move in the vegan industry. The Barbados native has reportedly taken a page from JAY-Z's book and further invested in a growing Black-owned company.

Vegan food brand Partake has raised almost $5 million from donors. This is Rihanna’s first investment that isn’t a personal venture, and it seems she’s done it by pitching some major funds to the company. Many other big stars have invested in the company as well, including Hov.

The allergy-friendly food brand closed a $4.8 million series A funding round in late December, led by investors including Rihanna (her first investment beyond personal ventures), Kevin Johnson’s Black Capital, Seattle Seahawks’ Bobby Wagner, Black Star Fund, Once Upon a Farm CEO John Foraker, CircleUp Growth Partners, FF2032 and Marcy Venture Partners. More than 50% of Partake Foods’ total $7.5 million in funding has come from Black investors such as Jay-Z’s VC fund, Marcy Venture Partners, and Grammy Award-winning singer H.E.R. (Forbes

NLE Choppa Is Living A Healthy Lifestyle Too

Rap newcomer NLE Choppa isn't thinking twice about trying a vegan option at a local fast food spot. The hip-hop star has singled out some of the biggest spots ranging from McDonald's to Taco Bell over the iconic brands' determination to offer vegan options for customers.

Choppa went to his social media pages and didn’t mince words. The hip-hop heavyweight shunned the fast food places for trying to dig into vegan consumers’ pockets and encouraged those types of customers to seek out alternative options.

“McDonalds, Burger King, And Taco Bell Yall foul for trying to make vegan food. Do not eat that sh*t find a great vegan spot near you, not a commercial fast food place, or get groceries and cook it yourself, also grow your own food to cook. Love y’all 💜” -NLE Choppa’s Twitter

Summer Walker’s Vegan PSA

In summer 2018, R&B crooner Summer Walker admitted she had dealt with an uphill battle going vegan. She made a desperate plea on social media in an effort to resist going back to the opposite of plant-based food.

“PSA. I need a vegan chef who is like literally amazing in LA and I need them to come save me and rescue me because I’m about to give up on my vegan journey. It’s nasty as h*ll, it’s disgusting, it’s miserable. I don’t know who lied to y’all and said it’s good because it’s not. And if somebody doesn’t give me a vegan meal that is properly seasoned and tastes delicious, I’m just gonna be a fat, chicken-eating, grease-slurping – I don’t want, we don’t need to talk about it, I don’t want to go there. Somebody please tag them. LA vegan chef. Please Lord, help me, save me.”
