Yung Bleu and Ne-Yo’s ‘Walk Through The Fire’ will warm your heart

The unexpected and much-appreciated anthem comes just in time for a New Music Friday. The pair put their vocal skills to the test to come through on a song everyone’s bae will appreciate.

Today, award-winning musician Yung Bleu announced the release of his new single “Walk Through The Fire (feat NE-YO),” which is currently available to stream on all platforms via Vandross Music Group, Inc./EMPIRE. As part of the announcement, Bleu also unveiled a corresponding visualizer for the song. The release of “Walk Through The Fire” marks the Alabama native’s second collaborative effort with NE-YO in as many months. Most recently, the duo teamed up in December 2021 to unveil the single and music video for “Stay Down”, which sent a powerful message about loyalty in relationships.

Yung Bleu and Ne-Yo’s past collabo

Bleu is no rookie to working with R&B legends. He’s previously linked with Ne-Yo and even crooner Monica on unforgettable anthems.

Bleu’s original collaboration with NE-YO on “Stay Down” also coincided with the release of his five-song, EP, “No I’m Not OK.” He released the project – which included an appearance from Grammy-award winning R&B singer Monica – as a gift to his fans and to express his gratitude for helping propel his breakout year. He also capped 2021 by teaching himself to produce beats and quickly securing a placement on Lil Wayne’s newest mixtape, Sorry 4 The Wait, that was released on Jan. 14. Wayne even named the song “Bleu Snappin” to acknowledge Bleu’s versatility as a producer.

The non-stop grind

Over the past 12 months, Bleu has remained extra busy and hungry. He’s worked in both the music industry and dabbled into the TV market.

It was the culmination of a scorching, fourth-quarter stretch for Bleu, who won “Best New Hip-Hop Artist” and “Best New Artist” at the BET Hip-Hop Awards and BET Soul Train Awards, respectively, in Oct. 2021 and Nov. 2021 while becoming the first artist since Chance The Rapper to achieve the feat in the same calendar year. Bleu also earned his first-career, Grammy nomination after he was recognized for his contributions to H.E.R.’s album, Back of My Mind, which is up for “Album of the Year.” Bleu made a featured appearance on H.E.R.’s standout song “Paradise” to earn the nod.

Beyond the award-show accolades, the 27-year-old also made his nationally-televised debut in Nov. 2021 on The Kelly Clarkson Show, where he appeared on the couch for an interview and performed a medley of hits.
