MESSIAH! & MAVI: The 'our daily bread' music video is the type of Wednesday flex I'm feeling right now

Need more than vixen love to get you through Woman Crush Wednesday vibes? Look no further than hip-hop artists MESSIAH! and MAVI teaming up for their ‘our daily bread’ single and music video.

The song goes hard and adding in directing courtesy of Moshpxt, too? Super tough. Peep the details and embrace this Hump Day flex.

Charlotte rapper MESSIAH! has just shared his new single "can't stand it" . Marking the second outing from the rapper's highly-anticipated new album the villain wins! (out July 26th), the Angelo LeRoi-produced "can't stand it" is a joyful track rooted in a chopped-up soul sample and upbeat hook. MESSIAH!'s third release of 2024, "can't stand it"follows last month's “silent heel" (feat. MAVI and Ovrkast.) and the villain wins! lead single "burden of truth", which boasted an appearance from Michigan indie-R&B crooner Malaya, as well as the rapper's acclaimed 2022 tape PERFECT 7. "can't stand it" arrives on the heels of a strong year for MESSIAH! (14M+ Streams), who recently toured with both longtime collaborator and fellow Charlotte rapper MAVI on his 2023 Laughing so Hard, it Hurts World Tour and Wiki on his April 2024 Midwest tour run. A 35+ date world tour on the horizon, MESSIAH! is showing why he's one of North Carolina's most noteworthy new artists with new single “can't stand it" as he prepares to release his forthcoming album the villain wins! on July 26th.

“can't stand it” marks the third offering out of what has been a prolific creative period for the Charlotte rapper. A genre-bending emcee known for his ready embrace of fresh ideas, recent months have seen the ever forward-thinking artist experiment with new sonic landscapes that expand on the soulful sound that earned him his cult following with releases like PERFECT 7 and Thru the Winter. After two years spent meticulously fine-tuning his craft in the studio, MESSIAH!’s next chapter promises to elevate the artist to new heights, showcasing why he’s one of Charlotte’s must-watch young talents.
