Tyla: The steamy season is only beginning with the 'Push 2 Start' music video
Winter might low-key creep up but I’m living in the moment just like my gyal Tyla in 2024. How about a super fire ‘Push 2 Start’ anthem worthy of your full attention? Maybe a fire music video, too? Say less.
Winter might low-key creep up but I’m living in the moment just like my gyal Tyla in 2024. How about a super fire ‘Push 2 Start’ anthem worthy of your full attention? Maybe a fire music video, too? Say less.
It’s pure summer vibes in November and I’m not complaining - at all. Lose your mind to the visual glowing.
Tyla’s prolific 2024 continues today as the global superstar releases her sixth music video of the year, “Push 2 Start,” to commemorate the recent release of the deluxe edition of her record-setting debut album, TYLA. Watch the Aerin Moreno-directed new video now.
Tyla, no stranger to a cleverly crafted metaphor—see: “Water”—hosts a vivacious dance party outside a car wash in her new feature, as she slinks through to the sounds of one of TYLA+’S standout tracks and gets her own body “detailed” like a car would. As things wrap up, Tyla and her dance troupe turn a car carrier into the perfect setting for one of Tyla’s customary dance breaks—it isn’t a Tyla video without one.
“Push 2 Start” helps to punctuate what’s been a historic breakout year for Tyla. She performed the new record for millions of viewers at the Victoria Secret Fashion Show and still has landmarks to hit before 2025 rolls in. Following a February GRAMMY victory and a record-setting run on the Billboard charts in the spring, when she became the highest-charting African female soloist on the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200 with “Water” and Tyla respectively, Tyla has enjoyed a triumphant victory lap.
She performed at this year’s Paris Olympics Prelude to the 2024 Olympic Games and continued to dominate the awards circuit, including victories at the MTV VMAs and BET Awards and South African Music Awards. At this weekend’s MTV Europe Music Awards, the global star will be performing and is also nominated for four awards, including ‘Best African Act’ and ‘Best R&B Star.’ In December, the South African star will return home for a ‘homecoming’ pair of live concerts, her first performances in the region since “Water” exploded in Summer ‘23. In addition to her highlight Victoria Secret Fashion Show performance, Tyla has remained a force in the fashion world, earning headlines from outlets like WWD and Vogue for her scene-stealing moments at this year’s Met Gala and CFDA Awards.
Tyla’s music videos have continued to uphold the singer’s creative standard, employing storytelling and choreography techniques that have woven an exhilarating visual narrative to accompany the star’s award-winning music. Fans have supported the work to the tune of well over 100 million views just in 2024, and “Push 2 Start” serves as the latest addition to the story.
Finesse2Tymes & NLE Choppa: It's turn up season in the 'Very Demure' music video
Cuffing season might be coming up but I’m on demon time right now. So what better way to level up and grind it out than seeing how rap artist Finesse2Tymes is serving up with a fire ‘Very Demure’ anthem for the masses? Well, add NLE Choppa and a music video and you’re good-good.
The iced-out posing is tough and Lamborghini glow? I’m here for it all. Fully tap in.
Never holding back when it comes to his music, Finesse2Tymes speaks what's on his mind. Today, he teams up with his hometown's own NLE Choppa for the "Very Demure" video. A play on recent social media trends and the remix to last month's "Demure," the track finds Finesse and NLE Choppa unleashing their most out-of-pocket thoughts, proving why they could never be very demure: "Flew her first class for some of that a** / She brought a friend for my mans / I hit that b*tch like I'm fresh out the can / She pulled up with her man / I don't give a f*ck 'bout your man,"spits Finesse. NLE follows up Finesse's NSFW lyrics with risqué bars of his own: "And she down bad, I could pipe her up / Grabbin' your hair, get your face out the mattress."
In the "Very Demure" video, directed by VisionBank, Finesse and NLE Choppa post up in front of a yellow Lamborghini, dripped out in diamonds and designer from head to toe. The Memphis rappers trade NSFW bars, while NLE comes in blazing with a verse of his own and shows off his dance moves.
"Very Demure" arrives ahead of Finesse2Tymes' upcoming project Art of War, out 11/22. The project arrives amidst a strong year for Finesse, complete with popular singles like "Down Bad" and "Show Dat Work" ft. GloRilla & Rob49. Art of War promises to build upon this momentum and position Finesse for even more rap success in 2025.
Born and raised on the East Side of Memphis, most of Finesse’s young adulthood was surrounded by the walls of a prison cell. His first prison stint happened at 14 and he was in and out of prison until his most recent release. At 21, he started formally making music, forming a collective called Memphis Greatest Underrated with several local artists including Blac Youngsta and Moneybagg Yo. The crew released a self-titled EP in 2019 while Finesse was serving his final stint in prison as the group disbanded. While away, Finesse perfected his craft, writing rhymes and plotting his next moves to ensure this prison sentence will be his last. He found a way to keep track of the major players in the industry who followed his music. Among them was Mob Ties Founder and CEO J Prince Jr., son of legendary Rap-A-Lot kingpin J. Prince, who later signed him. At the top of July 2022, Finesse left prison and boarded a private jet bound for Houston. The start of his new life had finally begun.
He dropped the menacing “Get Even” within the first week of his release later chasing it with “Back End,” showcasing a more sophisticated style that still harbored his gruff delivery. The single later went on to earn him his first career entry on the Billboard Hot 100 and first RIAA-certified gold record. He even mended fences with Moneybagg Yo, surprising fans everywhere with their collaborative “Black Visa” track and informally inaugurating his signing with Bagg’s Breadgang. Finesse released his debut mixtape 90 Days in December 2022 representing his pivotal first 90 days post prison release. He later returned with the deluxe, 90 Days Later.
With Art of War on the way, Finesse2Tymes is ready to secure his place in rap stardom. Stay tuned for much more from him soon.

Skepta: The United Kingdom grime rap heavyweight dishes on deejaying, Flo Milli and more with Apple Music
A full-fledged interview from hip-hop artist Skepta? I’m here for it. The rap heavyweight steps up and delivers a more than memorable Apple Music interview with entertainment personality Ebro Darden dishing on topics ranging from deejaying roots and working alongside fellow rapper Flo Milli to his longtime inspirations.
It’s a super solid chat and while you’ll see some pulled quotes below, it’s a fire Q&A worthy of 30-plus minutes of your time. Tap in.
Skepta tells Apple Music how DJing was his first true passion
Ebro Darden: I was privy to you being a DJ first, your love for just music and playing music for people and bringing people together, culturally together, whether you're playing dance hall, whether you're playing house records, whether you're playing hip hop records. That was your original love, right?
Skepta: Yeah, for sure. My dad used to DJ when I was younger, so it's kind of all I've ever known, bass music in the house. Even when I'm sleeping at night, I'll just always hear bass through the walls and stuff. So I feel like as an extension of that, I remember my dad had this karaoke ... It was a tape player, but it was a karaoke. But you could adjust the speed on it, and I had another turntable where you could adjust the speed. So I would always try and mix when I was young, young, young. I'm trying to mix in the house. Then just music Music 2000 on PlayStation, making this. I was listening to garage music, house, speed garage, all the early dance music.
Then I think slowly, how the grime scene formed was us. We was always looking for the breaks on these vocal tracks to MC. So after the singing's done, you'd find a little bit, and then you'd MC there and stop when the singing comes. So I think after a while of finding those breaks, we just started on these programs like Music 2000. I think I was working on Cubase at the time as well. We just started making our own beats. Yeah, I think it's the blessing of being from London. Everybody's so mixed.
Skepta tells Apple Music about being inspired by other rappers such as Busta Rhymes and Missy Elliot
Ebro Darden: We came up at a time where there weren't really boundaries on what a rapper could do or where hip hop could go. You even talk when you talk about grime, when you're talking about finding the break in garage records, that's the same thing they was doing in the Bronx when they was trying to figure out how to rock parties, was finding breaks.
Skepta: Yeah. Because I kind of know that without all of this stuff, deep down, I am an artist. You know what I mean? Even in my worst times, I'm going to create the best art. But I just know that I'm really blessed and I need to keep being the example for that young girl or boy who's sitting in their room one day, thinking, man, how do I break out of this frequency?
Ebro Darden: Or even break out of these silos and these boxes that everybody puts you in. Oh, because you come from this neighborhood, you got to be like this, or because you look like this, you got to be like this.
Skepta: Because I used to think like that, but it's because of the frequency that I was in, and it was me looking at Biggie. You know what I mean? It was me seeing Busta in the 'Gimme Some More' video. It was me seeing Missy Elliott. They don't know how much they inspire. I'm sitting here right now because of these people. You know what I mean? And they never told me how to do it. They just were embodying it, and it was just for me to find time. There's this quote that I love. It says, "When a student is ready, the teacher will appear." Because they just have to keep doing that, and when I'm ready, I will find the lesson in that person. So yeah, I'm just on a real shooting start mission, man, until I burn out.
Skepta tells Apple Music about his song with Flo Milli, 'Why Lie?'
Ebro Darden: Let's get to that Flo Milli, 'Why Lie?' I like how you don't rap until the end of the record. You kind of give the ladies something in the beginning. You know what I'm saying? But then you get to the bars at the end. I like that.
Skepta: Bro, I keep it 100. I wasn't even supposed to do that second verse, but Flo's verse was so crazy.
Ebro Darden: You was like, "I got to get something."
Skepta: Yeah, verse was so crazy. When she hits the, "True Religion greedy. Heart cold, I think I need" ... that, when it starts going, it started getting crazy. Then I was like, "Bro, wait. I need to do something." But yeah, man, it feels good to be back. I feel like a lot more people are in tune to what I'm doing right now. It feels like I'm at home now when I'm in the States.
Skepta tells Apple Music that Project Pat is featured on his next album
Skepta: Three 6 on "Ain't Safe," so over time when I come, especially if it's not a grime track like these tracks I've just mentioned, if it's not a grime track, I will always make sure I'm paying homage to the genre that I'm stepping into, to the arena that I'm stepping into. I know where I'm coming into, not that I'm just going to always take someone's flow for a rap record, but I will always have little nuances in my bars where people will know. Yeah, this guy knows what he's doing.
This is a leak, but I have Project Pat on my next album. Yeah, yeah, yeah, and it was a long time coming, because I'm sure he's heard "No Security." He's heard "Ain't Safe." He's heard "Greaze Mode." All these tracks is Three 6 bounce and flow. You know what I mean? Actually, I made the track and I sent it to him. He hit me back and he said, "I'm going to flame-throw this record." I remember just sitting there. Like I said, I don't have no number ones. I don't have no Brit Awards. I don't have that kind of stuff. You know what I mean? I don't have no Grammy or nothing.

Today, he shares the video for "Yea," a highlight track from recent project EAT OR GET ATE 2. Over eerie synths and head-nodding drums, Moochie stands on business, confident in his status as the finest in Memphis: "Flooded with VVs, you know I be glistening / Tryna get a hundred M's, I'm on a mission / Bad slim b*tch, look like Jada Pinkett." The "Yea" video, directed by 2BrothersFilm, stars Sukihana, who brings her crew to meet up with Moochie and the PRE family at a Memphis pool party. Everyone bobs their heads to the catchy track, whether they're chilling at the party or on their way to work in the city.
"Yea" appears on Big Moochie Grape's new project EAT OR GET ATE 2, which earned praise from XXL, The FADER, VIBE, and more. Stacked with street anthems, the project finds Moochie intimidating the competition with his tongue-twisting bars and frightening flexes. Highlight tracks from the project include the triumphant opener "Crip Blue Hundreds," the hypnotizing heater "Never Come Second," the Key Glock and Kenny Muney-featuring "Bigg Azz Band," and the celebratory "Back In The Maybach." With additional features from Money Man on the cutthroat "No Favors," as well as Big Scarr on the previously-released "Trap A Lil Harder," EAT OR GET ATE 2 is available everywhere via Paper Route Empire.
Moochie's journey to EAT OR GET ATE 2 began earlier this year, releasing the thrilling first-day-out single "Wake Em Up," and creating a new music video for his 2022 track "Fun," a collaboration with his mentor Young Dolph (2.4 million views). EAT OR GET ATE 2 follows up Moochie's November 2023 project, East Haiti Baby: Incarcerated, a deluxe version of his 2022 mixtape that welcomed guest spots from fellow incarcerated rappers like YFN Lucci, Rio Da Yung OG, Bankroll Freddie, and PRE's own Big Unccc.
With EAT OR GET ATE 2 out now, Big Moochie Grape is hellbent on stepping on necks throughout 2024 and beyond. Stay tuned for much more music from the East Memphis rapper as the year comes to a close.

Yeat delivers new single “5BRAZY” featuring hip-hop legend Quavo – stream HERE via Lyfestyle Corporation / Field Trip / Capitol Records. Fans originally saw the record on the LYFESTYLE limited edition digital deluxe album earlier this month. Now with its official wide release, the track arrives alongside an accompanying music video, which premiered earlier this week featuring the two superstar artists. Watch HERE. This week,Yeat hit a massive career milestone, earning his first-ever no. 1 album on the Billboard 200 with LYFESTYLE. Within its first week of release, the 22-track project sold 89K equivalent album units — the rap phenomenon’s highest first week sales to date. This achievement also marked Yeat’s fifth top 10 debut in under 3 years: Lyfë (No. 10 in 2022), 2 Alivë (No. 6 in 2022), AftërLyfe (No. 4 in 2023), 2093 (No. 2 in 2024), and now LYFESTYLE (No. 1 in 2024). LYFESTYLE was released initially on October 18, boasting features from Lil Durk, Don Toliver, Kodak Black and more. The project debuted on Spotify at No. 1 on the Top Album Debut Chart both globally and domestically, as well as landing two tracks on Spotify’s Top Song Debut Chart in the U.S. for “GEEK TIMË”, and “STFU”. Globally, LYFESTYLE is having major impact on Apple Music, currently charting in over 100+ countries across the platform.
Teasing for LYFESTYLE kicked off this summer when Yeat hinted at new music during his special three-show North American run across New York, Los Angeles, and Portland. The first official announce of the upcoming album arrived in September when Yeat’s LyfestyleCorporation confirmed the name LYFESTYLE through a video graffitiing the word across a Lamborghini. This reveal was followed closely by another video taking over New York’s Times Square billboards to announce LYFESTYLE’s October release, and the official album trailer which can be viewed here. Most recently, Yeat embarked on an international tour across the EU & UK—an explosive run through 9 cities which included his first ever headlining show in London, which The Guardian noted as a “ribcage-reverberating success”—before the final album easter egg when Lyfestyle Corporationunveiled an eerie video of massive flame letters spelling out the album name in a deserted field. Now, LYFESTYLE has finally arrived—see full track-listing below.

The song sets the tone but the visual goes the extra mile to make statements about longevity and how much more uncharted territory X to the Z has planned.
