Ready for a full-fledged countdown? Look no further than what’s brewing with West Coast musician Yatta Bandz preparing to deliver an Acrylic studio project to the masses this Friday.
Yatta Bandz is slated to deliver ‘Acrylic’ to the world this Friday
While you won’t have to wait long for the new EP, you can rest assured it’s set to be the biggest teaser of the season with just eight fire tunes to tease an even bigger release later down the road.
A master of vulnerable melodies and heartfelt lyrics, Yatta Bandz is one of the Bay Area's best kept secrets. Today, the Hayward, CA native officially announces his upcoming EP Acrylic, out next Friday 11/8. The eight-track project is set to expand upon the deeply personal narratives Yatta has shared in the past, diving into topics like heartbreak, the importance of love, self-growth, and more. Along with the EP announcement, the Bay Area riser shares a glimpse into the project, releasing a short trailer for the project. In the trailer, Yatta paints on a canvas while singing an acoustic version of "Work of Art," furthering the metaphor of the young star being a master painter, with an unlimited array of colors in his palette for him to express his emotions. Stay tuned for the trailer coming later this afternoon!
The road to Acrylic began earlier this Fall with Yatta Bandz's new singles "My Mistake" ft. Lil Bean and "Work of Art." Born in Hayward, an East Bay city south of Oakland and north of Fremont, Yatta Bandz has quietly become one of the most popular rappers to emerge from the Bay Area this decade. The young rapper had a rough childhood, experiencing periods of homelessness during his elementary school years. He found his refuge in music, sharing freestyles to YouTube and building a following big enough to make his debut album a hit. Since releasing his debut project Perfect Storm in 2022, Yatta has generated over 480 million worldwide streams, including on hits like “Don’t Go” (40.3 million Spotify streams, 10 million YouTube views) and “Unseen Scars” (38 million Spotify streams, 6.7 million views on YouTube audio). Last year, Yatta followed up Perfect Storm with the heartfelt TUFF LUV, home to highlights like "Way Out West" and "Polaroid." A showcase for his sharp songwriting and achingly honest lyrics, TUFF LUV has racked up over 50 million streams to date across platforms.
With 3 million streams per week on his catalog and a work of art on the way, Yatta hopes to become the next Bay Area rapper to blow. Stay tuned for the new EP, coming 11/8 via EMPIRE.

Ready to turn up with some help courtesy of hip-hop star Saweetie? She’s turning up in a big way and showing out with the tunes with ‘Richtivities’ setting the tone.
Saweetie’s ‘Richtivities’ is non-stop fire and demands your attention
She’s been doing this for a long time but still has the glow and fire power of a rap artist still out here with things to prove. Saweetie does much more than deliver with her latest audio gem.
Grammy®-nominated, multi-platinum rap sensation Saweetie releases her lush new track “Richtivities.” Listen HERE and watch the visualizer HERE via ICY/Warner Records. Boasting a smooth and catchy beat, aspirational brags, and effortless swagger, the pop-off primed tune is the perfect addition to the NorCal native’s repertoire. It follows on the heels of "Do It for the Bay," a football-themed anthem for the San Francisco 49ers.
On "Richtivities," Saweetie represents for all the “pretty bitches” (B- boss, I- intelligent, T- tough, C- CEO, H- hyphy) getting riches. "Super fine, bills paid doin' fine" she raps over swelling strings and tight percussion. "Don't forget, expensive bitch by design." That takes us to the sing-along chorus: "I'm doing rich shit, pretty bitch shit." The track inspires listeners to live their best life and is soon to become the theme song to having a good time
"Richtivities" comes in the wake of announcing that Saweetie will join Ne-Yo and 2 Chainz in the third season of Starz’s hit series ‘BMF.’ Saweetie will play Keeya, a former college athlete who’s connected in the streets of St. Louis. The drama returns on March 1 and is executive produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson for his G-Unit Film and Television in association with Lionsgate Television for Starz. Last year, she guest starred on ‘Bel Air’ (Peacock) and continues to make waves in entertainment, proving she’s a multifaceted force to be reckoned with.
About Saweetie:
As a dynamic powerhouse, Saweetie continues to solidify herself as a multifaceted artist with her chart-topping songs, successful collaborations, philanthropic endeavors, and captivating on-screen performances. Born Diamonté Harper in Northern California, Saweetie was raised in a multi-ethnic household with her father being of African-American descent and her mother being of Filipino-Chinese descent. Saweetie was exposed to a wide range of music genres, which would later influence her own sound and identity as a trailblazer for young, culturally diverse individuals around the world. After attending USC and earning a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Saweetie began to focus on her music career. Since then, Saweetie has accumulated over 5.4 billion career streams from her chart-topping hits such as the RIAA certified platinum “Tap In” and 4x platinum “My Type” and "Best Friend," featuring Doja Cat, which also earned two GRAMMY® Award nominations. Our relationship wasn’t perfect but I can say the things you did or didn’t do continue to guide/shape me as the days progress.
If I didn’t learn anything else from you, I learned to just be unapologetically myself.
R.I.P. old man… I’m starting to look more n more like you & I don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing considering how many times I told you you were ugly when I was a kid lol…
I even got the nose you said would be as big as yours one day when I was older 🙄

Big Freedia’s Royal Bud has officially arrived in the City of Angels
Big Free’s huge announcement has the brand set to make its initial product rollout today, August 22, exclusively at Green Qween - a gay and social equity licensed dispensary in Los Angeles.
Royal Bud kicks off its launch with three Freedia focused fire strains in limited glass jar eighths aptly dubbed Release Ya Wiggle (Hybrid), You Already Know (Indica) and Mardi Grass (Sativa) – each an invitation to release ya mind, release da stress, release da love and to forget the rest. Royal Bud will continue to expand its distribution network and product suite throughout California this fall, with terpene-rich cultivars, infused products, and industry partners hand-selected by Big Freedia in line with the brand’s inclusive and forward-thinking ethos.
Big Freedia is bigger than just announcements. She’s already stepped up with some words about her line’s introduction to the masses.
“When people smoke Royal Bud, they’re smoking what I smoke,” said Big Freedia. “Royal Bud was influenced by black culture, bounce culture, queer culture, cannabis culture, and more. I want this brand to be celebrated and smoked by everyone who is part of the diverse movements making popular culture what it is today.”
While the competition is stiff, the Southern musician’s brand is looking to do more than become just another cannabis option. Feedia’s line paves a way for both the Black and gay communities to prosper in the growing herbal market.
Big Freedia enters the cannabis landscape with a long track record as both a connoisseur and a supporter of the diverse and entrepreneurial underground scenes which have trailblazed the path for today’s industry. Royal Bud, however, is not a typical celebrity cannabis brand. Rather, the endeavor aims to empower the growing community of Black, brown, queer, and women-led brands that are writing a new chapter in cannabis history. Big Freedia and the Royal Bud brand hope to work hand in hand with those diverse groups and individuals that have been historically underrepresented in the space and that continue to push the cannabis industry forward.

ZZ goes Ghost and doesn’t hold back
The hip-hop artist pulls through across streaming services everywhere with songs like ‘Bliss’ and ‘U No Body 2 Me’ anthems.
Indian hip-hop artist ZZ fulfills the potential of his prolific run of singles in 2022 with his brilliant debut album: GHOST. An expansive 19-track project, it weaves through boastful bars and melodic croons that cascade from hip-hop to Afrobeats and R&B. Led by the introspective “homesick…”the record kicks off with ZZ’s most vulnerable recording to date as guitars and violins are woven through bars about personal growth, relationships, mental health, and missing home.
GHOST is also highlighted by the self-produced, subtly smooth “bliss” where ZZ confronts vices and lust alongside an assist from Thorii in his native Sotho. Additionally featuring fan favorites like “XO” and “u no body 2 me,” GHOST is an unmissable snapshot of ZZ’s versatility behind the microphone and boards alongside his accomplished career to date.
From New Delhi to Los Angeles
ZZ’s rise to non-stop grind mode doesn’t originate in the City of Angels. He actually delved into the Western parts of hip-hop culture 48 months ago.
Raised in New Delhi and relocated to Los Angeles in 2020, ZZ has quickly made inroads within the hip-hop scene, collaborating with artists such as FRVRFRIDAY, 24kGoldn, Guapdad 4000, Kodie Shane, and music video director LONEWOLF, while receiving praise from the likes of Lyrical Lemonade, Ones To Watch, Noctis Mag, Elevator Mag, Noisey, and Rolling Stone. With over 5 million collective streams under his belt and support from Spotify and Apple Music editorial playlists, he’s squarely positioned within the community as a fast-rising one to watch.

Iggy Azalea’s reflecting at 32
The jaw-dropping beauty hit up her Instagram page to share some snapshots of herself getting ready to thrown down on a birthday cake. But more importantly, in her caption, she references the realization of having to make tough decisions about what type of energy she keeps around.
“Honestly I was feeling down this morning on my birthday. 🫣
Notttt because I’m 32, I love being a grown ass woman so much!
But because part of that means knowing when to remove yourself from situations that aren’t adding value to your life….
Andddd that’s hard as FUCK sometimes!
But this year, I’m betting on me more than ever.
Betting that any space I clear,
is only to welcome deserving things & people into my world.
I know if I do that… I’ll always be happy! and guess what?
Some of my friends came over, everything shifted back into focus & we had a great afternoon 😁
Anyhow! Thanks for all your birthday wishes - you guys are the sweetest 🙇♀️💛”
